IMHO, it would seem to me that since the majority of dating is still intra-racial, date rape drugs would most likely be used by an offender of the same race.abstinent said:That was quite sickening, and watching Maury as we speak..... But is it just me, but you wont see that many asians, atleast in North America, commit such crimes.
As far as images go..no there is nothing wrongreboot said:There's nothing questionable about the video images as such. Guy meets girl, takes her out for a drink, they go to a motel room, are implied to have sex, and he leaves. She is then seen holding a pillow -- alone. It is generic enough to mean anything.
You should google "kindred Spirit one more for the gallows" ... its Skinhead musicreboot said:The background song is also not questionable as such. The singer is waxing on how supposed criminals seem to get away with their crimes and how "we" should be hanging everyone "we" find. There are no definitive references (that I heard) tying the song to the video feed or being overtly racist.
Yes ,it is shit. Some racists shit. The Shit you find on youtube
You're right, I closed the window when the girl was dialing the phone and didn't see the last line. Take out that last statement and the video still is a good one imo.....Berlin said:I don't think many watched past the stats text, what the K guys are trying to say is at the every end of the vid.

LOL have to get my eyes checked, missed that one too DOH...Amazon_woman said:This statement is also at the very BEGINNING of the video:
"Have you talked to your kids about the dangers of interracial dating?"
Ya, ok, this video is not intended to be racist.........whatever!![]()

BUT, if it is found that people with Red Hair commit a high rate of, oh, say, car thefts, then wouldn't that indicate some research needs to be done as to WHY? then maybe a solution can be found?ocean976124 said:Stats involving race are controversial because race doesn't cause whatever action is being measured. Its like measuring crime stats by hair color, eye color, or height.
No it is NOT redundant. The only way the video can be considered racist is if you would be just as offended if the reverse was true. You see, racism isn't just about one race, it is about ALL races.Amazon_woman said:Your question is redundant anyway. The guy in the video was NOT white. THAT was the whole point of the video.
This video was really NOT about date rape per se. The whole rape scenario was just a front for the racist "stats" and comments that come with it.
If the video WAS about date rape (and I believe this IS an important issue to bring forward in high schools), there would be no racist comments or stats involved at all (no matter what race the guy in the video was).

The reason why there was outcry was because the media was trying to turn this into a "black/white" issue. When they release stats like that its used to turn people against the blacks...because they know that your average person doesnt have the ability to look at them as simple stats and not let it affect how they treat an entire group.tboy said:If I had the time I'd check those stats at the end. If they are accurate then there's not one thing wrong with that video.
This kind of reminds me of the outcry that happened after the Just Desserts killings that took place here in Toronto many years ago. A leader of the Black community screamed foul when the police released the stat that something like 60% of the crimes in the city were committed by people in his community.
tboy said:If those stats ARE correct, then that video should be played in every senior public school in the city, and during every PTA meeting, and to every highschooler in every city. It might make some girls think twice about going out with a creep (white or black) and what can happen if you aren't on guard......
The problem may be that many blacks live in areas where the psycho-social elements are more condusive to promoting this kind of behavior. Yet that wouldn't be because of the color of their skin, it would be because of the psycho-social elements present.tboy said:BUT, if it is found that people with Red Hair commit a high rate of, oh, say, car thefts, then wouldn't that indicate some research needs to be done as to WHY? then maybe a solution can be found?
Which is why I have NO problem making everyone aware of stats like those shown in the video (again, assuming the numbers are correct). Because then maybe people would stand up and take notice and maybe take steps to change the patterns through education.
For the record: if the guy in the video was white, and the stats stated that whites had/have a higher number of STDs etc I'd still have no problem with it.
