They focused so much on the theory of everything but not on the solution to all of humanities issues such as social dynamics, geopolitical issues, ideologies, equality, human rights etc.
Reason being is because all of our ideologies are biased and flawed and deceive us think we know the truth, to believe our ideology has the solution, etc. However if it was the universal solution this will undermine the ones in power over countries, many people and their wealth which many will never give up. This will be resisted on all fronts because powerful people don’t want true equality even though they pretend they do because this will undermine their own position on this earth.
But for the fun of it and mental masterbation here is my idea of the universal solution or a path towards it.
Develop and refine a general AI like Googles Alpha Go Deep mind or whatever the latest program is called. Have it learn all the complex world games from first principles and become a master at all the top games of the world like go, chess and whatever else you can throw at it. Make sure it can always defeat the previous version of itself, and learns only by playing itself and all the possibilities and learns and refines and improves until it can’t anymore based on technological limitations. In theory this is possible. Also consider how much money is put into the large hadron collider and how much value did we get out of it?
Now program all the worlds ideologies and principles and have it study them all and apply them to all of our previous problems and current problems. Have it refine a universal system that can work for our guidance, values and principles. Have it refine what if scenario until almost infinity and measure how it impacts core universal values.
Now open it world wide on the decentralized internet for anyone to challenge and have it back it up why it agrees or doesn’t and how this is not it the universal best interest of the universal principles or humanity or whatever.
So you can have give it what you think are universal principles like consciousness, beings, love. For earth humanity, environment, and equality. Whatever it is it should be able to refine and figure out and tell you if it agrees with you or not or needs more time to compute. We should have the ability to challenge it and have it either refine or through logic and direct examples demonstrate to us how our ideology is flawed and create a model and record everything and how it hurts humanity, or consciousness and beings.
Now once this is refined run it in parallel to actual government decision and have it continuously record and evaluate all government decisions. Have it demonstrate with direct examples why and how the decisions hurt the equality or humanity or whatever the agreed upon principles are.
How? Well assuming we have a AI system use decentralized crypto technology to ensure nobody can destroy it and it lives on nodes throughout many computers world wide and in space and anyone can interact with it while it continuously builds models. Things like starlink can ensure it is always backed up.
Like I said this will probably never happen because it will threaten the ones in actual power by showing how equality and humanity can be protected and equal. Like we all believe our ideology is right and will backlash against any threat that undermines this either consciously, subconsciously or collectively with those two.
They had a show on this called travellers where a general AI sent people back in time to influence major events and what is in the best interest of humanity type of a deal and showed some of the things that could go wrong like factions, hacking the system, rouge agents and so forth. But this is based on fear and backlashing. In theory it should develop a system that has the solution to all of our well being. However some believe people need to suffer to learn and have the motivation and that flawed ideologies keep them in check. But these people are not the ones born in concentration camps, being brutally killed, or living in sewage pipes in the slums of some third world countries. At the end of the day we are all enablers to this and just bury our heads in sand like ostriches and pretend we know the way, we are good, and our ideology or tribe and supporting the ideals and each other in that tribe is what’s most important
But in principle if you are so confident your ideology is the way what’s to worry then right. If something with reasons and direct historical examples can demonstrate to you wouldn’t you want to be shown. Or are they right what they say about ideology that it’s just a glorified cult. We are not cave people anymore that need to rely on tribes to survive. I would think we would want to evolve past our primitive forms. Other people are well aware that their ideology is bullshit and will also resist it because by knowing their ideology they can use, manipulate and gain power over the ones in their tribe and outsiders because they understand the meta structure and people’s psychologies.
But regardless this is one of the solutions that could get past our egos and ideologies. Problem is people are not interested in actual solutions but supporting their own tribe at all costs.
