Lots of people are paranoid. You are not alone. Did you see the helicopters when you left your apartment today or it was just me?? :) :)
I hate the choppers. In this part of eastern Ontario it usually means they are scoping out harmless, backyard, medicinal and recreational agronomists

Being a great fuck with nice reviews doesn't automatically mean they have good judgement or that they are discreet. We don't know about their ethics from how popular they are on twitter.
Same with the ladies, they can't judge us solely based on our conduct on terb.

Be wary.

Disagree friend; reviews DO provide a good idea of how discreet someone is. Longterm positive reviews almost always mean she's not outing anyone, that would have come up. Twitter popularity is more that she's hot/selfies, she has something to say, she's been on there for a long time or good use of hashtags.

Be wary, but again, it's not the SPs that are the concern. The worst I've heard of is women responding to texts late (super-unprofessional, what else is she unprofessional about) or the cheesy "I miss you"/your envelope emails. Separate email addresses or clear communication with professionals about your boundaries is key. Your number is safe with the good indies, and agencies aren't going to bother you. None of this is a "paper trail for LE" argument.

PS. I judge people based on their conduct on TERB. If you're a jerk here, I'm going to spend my time with someone else. Not SOLELY TERB, but as a way of screening out people...

again, this is all pretty circumspect and easy way to get around this is not allow FB to use your contacts.
FB got in huge trouble (again) from the fact their broken app leaks your contact lists
Even if you do not use FB (never sign in, dont have an account etc) the app leaks your data
Horrible garbage

I wouldn't worry if you're in contact with reputable providers.
SPs with a positive reputation that are committed to themselves and their clients value discretion just as much as you do.
It's definitely valid to have those kinds of feelings, but if you're dealing with true professionals, you have nothing to worry about.

SPs have just as much to lose as hobbyists do. We're all in this together.

You should kind of snicker at the word reputable that keeps getting thrown around in this thread
How in the world do you know which provider is reputable
A few reviews here online mean nothing, esp if she gets in trouble or has some sort of breakdown
Even someone who seems normal could be on drugs or working for someone else for all you know

Who's tracing it? Provided you're not being violent and are willing to comply with screening, any tracing is not coming from a reputable escort. Similarly, the police aren't bothering you if it's a completely consensual connection.
For now, yes. LE seem to be concerned only with trafficking, underage etc, which is the way it should be. However, police will act on complaints from the public. A lot of agencies and independent ladies operate in residential areas. If someone notices a lot of comings and goings, traffic late at night or what have you, it's not such a stretch to imagine that an agency or a group of independents could be investigated. I've seen it happen with a reputable agency about 8 years ago. They were in business since the late 80's, provided great service and the police left them alone. However, one complaint in January 2008 prompted a police investigation and raid which resulted in the closure of the agency itself. The difference now under C-36 is that LE can potentially use client info obtained through texts in cell phone searches in a raid or whatever to charge hobbyists. While I trust the agencies and ladies implicitly, it only takes one complaint from the general public for things to go seriously wrong.

100% agreed. In addition, it's not how a provider acts while times are good that I have any concerns about - it's about how they act when times are bad. I've heard many a horror story about numbers provided for screening purposes being used to advertise for providers who have unexpected low volume for example.

In addition, even the most ethical provider (I love that ethics is coming up as a discussion point on this forum), good natured, or whatever you want to call it - does not have 100% control over what happens to data they keep on their customers, regardless of what quantity of data is stored or for what duration it is kept for. If someone's email or phone is hacked / stolen / compromised with my information, it may not even be known to them. And if data is leaked due to negligence, the consequences to the client are immense without any means of recourse.

I also understand the necessity of safety, and risk associated with not screening clients for providers. I'm not sure what the best be-all solution is, but think it's important for everyone (provider or client) to understand both sides of the discussion.

How many working ladies' computers, phones, emails are being hacked strictly to get and leak client info? Personally all I have seen is some crazy guy on here trying to leak agency and indy incall locations to harm us. Again be choosy of who you want to contact for a booking, if you have any doubts that someone else may have access to her devices etc. Most of the indy's on here work alone, and the agencies keep the client's info private from even their ladies.
I would imagine the % of working ladies' devices targeted specifically with the intention of leaking client information is very low. But the chances of lots of bad things occurring are low, and we all still take preventative measures anyway - like locking our doors (cars and homes), password protecting our devices, protecting client records at doctor's offices, etc.

At risk of sounding negative (and I promise you, I am not trying to sound negative) - playing the odds alone with regards to personal information of client is naive and dangerous - it's not a matter of being targeted or not - if personal information is stored in any capacity (client or provider) - it is a matter of when it will be leaked, not if. Hackers, or provider family members / spouses, accidental loss of device, leaving a website logged in and walking away - there are 100s of possible scenarios.

Current screening processes are a barrier to entry for many would-be clients. Please note, I'm not suggesting in any way that would-be clients' business is more important than safety of providers. I don't know what the answer is :(
