This thread has only made me crave to visit Toronto (and I have visited/resided in other cities) much sooner than I have planned. Most of my fond memories were created there...how can I dislike it?

The city is fine and generally pretty friendly.

Methinks most of you are missing the point of the article. It wasn't about whether Toronto is a good or bad city; it focussed more on why the rest of Canada hates Torontonians and the beliefs Canadians have about the attitude of Torontonians.
Frankly, the article bored me. Anyone who doesn't know that the rest of the country hates Toronto has been living under a rock.

I don't think TO is a shitty city.. It has some problems but all cities do.

I enjoy visiting but I don't know how people can handle living in large cities in general. The constant noise and bussel would drive me nuttier.

I like the medium small town...traffic stops at night.

Many Americans love TO.

I've never had so many close calls here in T.O. as compared to anywhere in canada, don't they force new drivers to take a course or something? who the hell is teaching these people to drive?

I love Toronto...

Over the years I have lived at various times in Vancouver,(5yrs) Edmonton,(1yr) Ottawa,(5yrs) Hull,(1yr) and Montreal(a few months) I always return to Toronto because I love Toronto. As a few others have said though... only thing is the weather sucks big time. I can't stand winters here.

So I was not impressed with the front page of The Sunday Star this week.

I think it should have been applied to Ottawa.

Yes I do live in Toronto... born here. I will be moving out thankfully in a year and a half. People who defend this city are in denial... it's such a terrible place to live.
