And what do you suppose makes the rest of canada any better? Vancouver has virtually no industry apart from luring naive real estate punters into buying one of their soggy million dollar crack shacks, the east coast has the vigour of a seaside retirement community (such that most of the entrepreneur class that had been enticed into settling there left as quickly as they could), the west pretty just scrapes the earth of anything valuable without adding any value to it, and in Ontario, apart from our financial/insurance/real estate (FIRE) sectors we pretty much just assemble and distribute products conceived and designed elsewhere.Lol I think you might have been sniffing too many feet. They may outclass Ontario economically now after 8 years of Dalton but Alberta is still paying their bills. Actually outside of Montreal, which is a great city, Quebecers are the biggest rednecks in the country - they hate everyone.
We've had automotive manufacturing here forever, so how come a truly canadian car or even motorbike hasn't emerged from this rich industrial heritage? Quebec, at least, was able to create the ski-doo and now the BRP pro am racer--why couldn't we produce something like that here in supposedly superior Ontario? Koreans produce distinctly Korean cars in Korea and are now becoming rivals to the japanese while we just sell out control of our future as a manufacturing centre to the first CEO that succombs to sufficient taxpayer bribes.
Quite apart from this, quebecers are fun to be around, generally cordial, and they appreciate the social aspect of living a little more than the people in achievement-obsessed Ontario. We could learn a few things from them
