And let’s be real: as much as Danielle Smith might enjoy flirting with chaos, even she isn’t reckless enough to seriously push Alberta into joining the U.S. She may be a political dumpster fire in many respects, but she’s not that stupid.

Her bluster plays well to the grievance crowd, but actually following through on something that radical would be political suicide consider the majority of Albertans are not separatist and even more are not interested in joining the US. And Trump? He’ll take his symbolic “slap” if he needs to save face, but that has more to do with stroking his own ego than any strategic alignment with Smith’s fever dreams. Trump loves Carney, there will be no slap and a deal is imminent with Canada.

Let’s not confuse noise with substance. Trump thrives on spectacle, but even he knows there’s no real market for annexing Alberta, especially when his plate is already overflowing with indictments, economic volatility, and a crumbling base.

Trump is alot things , good and bad, some clearly very bad. But he possesses skills above the ordinary, for better or worse .which he is why he is a two time POTUS.
With respect to Carney, Trump has no admiration for him or reverence , Trump is just fatten the goose for the slaughter.

Trump is a despot and maniac holding court because he is POTUS, and America is a superpower.
