The Agenda and the odd documentary.
Probably great jobs if you can get one.

I like TVO. They are a public service and provide non-partisan reporting. The educational aspect is not something to dismiss. I grew up watching the kid shows, and think they are important.

As for the strike, I don't know how much those people get paid. It probably isn't huge compared to a lot of private sector jobs, and if I'm not mistaken, they haven't had a significant pay raise in a long time.

I used to like it a lot more before they went heavy on environmental and indigenous themed programs.
Feel sorry for the striking workers. I don't think they would have walked off the job unless they had a very good reason.

Is Masterpiece Theatre still on? I remember falling asleep to it when I was little kid at my grandparents house.

I assume TVO's funding is controlled by Druggie Ford and his agenda.
That'd be defunding.

And yes, it is his agenda vendetta.

Some of the best series I have watched on Masterpiece were Grantchester, MidSommer murders, Endeavour a d others, far superior to Canadian and American series.

Is that the one where the host was Alister Cooke (check spelling)?

I think so but not too sure. The other thing i like about the Masterpiece series is that there are no commercials.
You got me curious so I looked him up. Yes, I mispelled his name. Now, I think I mispelled mispelled.
"he was well known in the United States as the host of PBS Masterpiece Theatre from 1971 to 1992."

On TVO I watch docos about trains, some east coast vet/animal rehab and i think one called extreme engineering.
Usually between 7 and 8, then I either hop to PBS or turn the TV off.

Lots of the good past PBS (and BBC) sort of dramas and American Experience shows are available at my library, so often I watch them that way versus live.

How about TFO ? Until recently they had French films on at 9pm every night. No commercials and uncensored (not porn films obviously.)
2 years ago they had a blank screen for many hours. So I missed watching a film I was looking forward to seeing. I phoned them the next day during
business hours and the person said that I was the only one to alert them to the blank screen situation. Not many eyeballs on that channel to say the least.....

I think TVO and TFO appeal to only a niche (small) audience.
