U.S. 145% tariffs on China - Who will win? China will not discuss the matter, U.S. flying to Switzerland uninvited to meet Chinese Vice Premier.

There might be some grandstanding but its part of negotiation. It would be silly to offer what you would accept as your opening especially when all other countries are looking to get the most out of you.

If setting tariff to 145% and then lowering it to 80% is what you imagine
to be a part of negotiation then I guess you have no idea what it takes for
people to take you seriously in the real world.

Last time I checked the U.S. is also planning to lower tariff on
China to *as low as* 50%.

The world has figured out the U.S. has a clown in charge whom
no one would take seriously. Trump's administration sooner or
later will have to chose between the path to economic collapse
and the path to zero tariffs. Since either path will bring Trump
down he will have to find a way to commit political suicide to save
his face and his ego.

Unfortunately, it may take more than just waiting it out bc of how china is run by the CCP. Accelerating a regime change through social and political unrest would be beneficial to the Chinese and the entire world.

China has already exempted a handful of goods from tariffs. A trade deal is not going to occur overnight between the 2 biggest economies in the world. It will be a series of back and forths. Foolish to think this way.

Countries around the world are hoping for a return to zero tariffs, similar to the conditions that existed before Trump's second presidency. If the tariffs remain in place this summer, the U.S. economy could face severe consequences, including supply chain disruptions and widespread consumer dissatisfaction. Public frustration may lead to unrest, with potential damage to high-profile properties, including Trump-owned assets and Tesla vehicles. While Trump is eager to strike new deals, his approach and personal brand make it unlikely he will revert to a pre-tariff policy.

If the vice premiere of China did abruptly walk out of the meeting with American officials in Switzerland it could only mean that they were offering nothing new. Probably on the orders of the Orange Thug.

China can wait, America ( Trump ) can not.

Didn't China already make this clear to the U.S.:
'..remove the tariffs first if you want to cut any deal...'?

China only has to stick to the demand of tariff removal
first and let the talk drags on until Trump gives in.

Intel, Boeing, Apple, soya bean farming among others
are already hit hard. F-35 jets and manufacturing of other
high tech weapons will be disabled by China's ban on
rare earth exports. If China can hang on for another 2
to 3 months Trump's term will have to end prematurely.

If Trump tariffs the countries that he has put on pause at the end of June, that is when the countries of the world will join forces to counter tariff America. The store shelves in the U.S.A. are going bare now, what will they look like at the beginning of summer?

Umm looks like they just went out for lunch.

Also with china in a deflationary spiral and not reporting certain metrics anymore not sure how long they can wait with th3 shanghai clique growing impatient.

Back in 2022 Biden, Blinken and other U.S. backers
of the Ukraine proxy war said the war would collapse
the Ruble and Russia's economy. I see the odds of Xi to
win the trade war Trump waged on the *whole world* to
be way greater than Putin's to emerge from the proxy war
intact. So far Trump looks more likely to me to be the one
to be taken down by his trade war. It won't be long to find
out how low Trump is going to stoop to haggle tariffs on
China from 145% to 80, 60 and eventually zero.
