The US is pushing hard to export their natural resources all the while Canada sits on it's hands pushing a false theory of global warming, oops it's climate change. Someday they'll decide which one it is.LOL

Canada doesn't want to export Energy because most Canadians live in Ontario/Quebec, which is export dependant and benefits from weak Loonie. (Income in USD, costs in CAD, difference is profit, plus cheap labor by bringing in 3rd worlders).

Exporting Energy makes Loonie too strong and if strong enough, can literally bankrupt Canada (put a lot of Ontario/Quebec out of work).
Back in 2007 the Canadian dollar was at par and even higher when compared to the US dollar. Economy was fine.

They don't have manufacturing. Canada wouldn't suffer with doubling oil production if most Canadians lived out West. But most don't.
Then they would move to where the money is. It's a free country. No one has been forced to move to silicon valley. Same would go for Fort Mac.

Canada should not be an exporter of fossil-fuel energy.
Canada under the Liberals is a nation of climate change
sheeple committed to zero emission. Canada has already
made a climate hypocrite of itself by being an importer
of crude oil from the Middle East. Let the U.S. be the destroyer
of Earth's climate while we are striving to phase out fossil
fuel to transition to a society running entirely on green energy.

You haven't been paying attention.
DoFo is passing a bill that will allow him to sell of Ontario to americans and to be allow Ontario to cancel laws they don't like.

Conservatives screwed up Alberta the way they are messing with Ontario.

lets start to be realistic when formulating policy

Have you heard of LNG Canada? Yes, it was signed under TRUDEAU and the pipeline for it approved under C-69 👍

Temperature follows CO2 changes.
Read this chart and tell us how much change you think will happen.

Look at the chart really closely. In some parts the temp increase preceeds the CO2 increase and in some others the CO2 comes first. This is an important detail to consider. On a chart like this a few microns represents several hundred years so you would actually have to look at the raw data to draw any conclusions.

CO2 comes first with the exceptions only of asteroids or volcanoes.

What is different is the speed of anthropomorphic climate change, the planet has never seen CO2 rates rise this much, this quickly.
The chart I supplied doesn't have the time resolution to show it.

Convince the world to have just 1 kid till it hits 1 billion. It's happening anyways voluntarily except in Africa. South Asia needs more work too. Only problem with shrinking populations is economic collapse since the world is a leveraged economy (debt is future money and future economic units called people shrink). That triggers a world war usually which will happen anyways by 2030. Hopefully no nukes are used.
Having 1 kid would still take about 4 generations to get to 1 billion, or about the end of the century when temps are likely 4-6ºC warmer.

You could stop sending aid to the third world. There's a difference between Palestine, which is being starved by a foreign occupier, and other countries that just can't do shit for themselves.

Well, if we're thinking of big changes the best one would be to eliminate the top 10% richest people in the world.
And how do you propose we do that? My way is simple. Stop sending aid. What's yours?

Well, your way will take 80 years or 4 generations.
I don't have a plan, but you know, the way things are headed their may be some kind of 'let them eat cake' type revolution sooner than later.
