You’re giving Carney a “so far” grade when he’s barely had time to unpack his suitcases. The public service bloat didn’t happen overnight, and no PM, blue, red, or Martian green, is slashing it in year one without tanking their own mandate. Same with China and India: both are prickly as hell, and it’s not like Poilievre would stroll in with a Tim’s double-double chomping on an apple and suddenly reset trade relations.
Okay I guess you blame the 6 month on Trudeau, did nearly double the public service but stupid to even bring up PP- he's irrelevant to the point.

[QUOTE="Ok Alberta, hmmmmm, every PM gets painted as the villain in Calgary, unless they’re cutting oil royalties themselves. Tell me I'm wrong so I can assess your partisanship further.
Not every Pm just every Liberal PM after Pearson. What ? You don't not want good relations with Alberta? Why?

[Cutting non-essential spending sounds great on paper, but the second you define what’s “non-essential,” half the country riots because it’s their program. That’s why “dull roar” budget restraint is probably the only politically viable path.
Agree with you but somebody has to start some time. Are you saying Carney wouldn't have the balls so don't ask for it? ;)

I think this is what you were trying to say so let's get at it.

I think Justin actually did a decent job; it’s just that after ten years, people got tired of the schtick. It happens to every long-term PM. And let’s be real: if Carney trims the public service through attrition, the same people whining about “bloated bureaucracy” will be the first ones foaming at the mouth when their passport takes nine months to arrive.

Not every Pm just every Liberal PM after Pearson. What ? You don't not want good relations with Alberta? Why?
YES, absolutely, because Danielle Smith is the gold standard of fairness and reason, right? Clearly, Carney’s job should be to bow, scrape, and fetch her coffee at every whim.

Agree with you but somebody has to start some time. Are you saying Carney wouldn't have the balls so don't ask for it? ;)

If Carney does tackle the public service, hopefully, he will use attrition instead of pink slips. People are already going to be losing jobs thanks to the orange stain’s cosplay tariffs. But hey, I know you righties are itching for those unemployment numbers to spike so you can point and scream “See! Liberal failure!” while ignoring the part where your guy set the fire.

Yes please! Do you want to work off my TDL list? You can choose any of the ladies for me off the list, and thank you for your generosity.

Here's the way it goes..When Biden was in they..The Dems lied through their teeth about his state of mental acuity. So nowadays they have no leg to stand on when discussing Trump's health. Zero credibility. If they would have pulled him a few years before yes but they didn't..I don't think we will ever know who was really running the Whitehouse during those years..Ah the power of the autopen.

Having said that I can't see Trump stepping aside either...Sometimes I see him doing interviews and I think this is close to the same guy and then other times he's visibly slower. He tackles way too much for his age...Hopefully he defers to Vance at some point but that's not in his nature.
Judging by the wave of enthusiasm emanating from the US, there seems to be a lot of people who are counting down the seconds until Trump is done...lol...

And, if you believe the online diagnoses, he's going to lose a leg or has maybe weeks to live...As I've said, I'm skeptical about all of that...But it is odd how he basically disappeared for three days....something he hasn't done before. And I highly doubt it was because he was working on something...

Harris wouldn't even do the JRE during the election when she was invited...Her team didn't want her doing anything longer than a half hour or around there..She can't think on her feet outside of a script. You think Putin would respect her?...Not to mention a female of color dealing with a older Russian male,lol..

Now an Obama Putin meeting would be something to behold. Obama was a great statesman..Clinton was pretty good as well. Almost pulled off the Camp David Summit. Almost...
You think someone who has argued cases in a court and before a jury cannot talk circles around you and Trump? I know the right/MAGA want to cast her as some unqualified DEI hire (which is total bullshit), but spreading these lies is just very telling. And, while I think it was a mistake to ignore JRE, I can see her camp avoiding it. I mean, it wasn't like she'd get the leeway that Rogan gave Trump. And, like most women, his audience would have held her to an impossible standard, when Trump basically has none. I mean, if the media treated him like they do Biden, he likely would have never tried to run for office again.
