Apparently you believe that Communist states provide better for their citizens...just helping you pick your next home.
Stop trying to 'distract' as you call and stay on topic.
You cannot find a single example of a country that has instituted the policies you back and successfully grown their economy and lessened their debt.
Yet you keep backing it and claiming it works.

Wrong OTB, the Uof T is considered in the top 5 best medical universities in the world.
Not quite...

Top universities for medicine in the US and Canada
111 of the world’s best medical schools are found in the United States, with five of these making it into the worldwide top ten. Harvard University offers the world’s best medicine program for the fifth consecutive year, achieving a perfect score for employer reputation. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is the global medical research leader, despite dropping out of the top ten this year, with a perfect score in the research citations per paper indicator.

Canada has 18 medical schools in the rankings this year, with top scoring university, the University of Toronto in joint 13th place and earning its highest score in the H-Index indicator. Also in the world top 50 in Canada are McGill University (joint 21st), University of British Columbia (joint 28th) and McMaster University (45th).

Hey Frankfooter (if that is indeed your real name)...don't you believe that the US's healthcare system is better than North Korea or any of the failed socialist states you brag about?

The question put to you was which country you thought the US was better than and you came up with 2, North Korea and China.

The question put to you was which country you thought the US was better than and you came up with 2, North Korea and China.
But you idolize those types of regimes because of their socialism frameworks and all I'm saying is that the US is better than those.

Look at 100 sources of info and you'll get varying opinions about which country has the best healthcare...here's one...ranks Canada 30th and the US 37th out of 149 countries.

Based on population, Italy is ranked #2...yet they were devastated by the pandemic.

Is there a trophy or something? What exactly are you trying to prove and why would anyone believe you Groggy?

Yes, more than twice as high as Canada's.
Shocking, isn't it?
Canada is a burg, mostly empty. If you look to the US Midwest (or even California) you’ll see consistent metrics.

The story is that link is the utter failure of Europe.

The UK has 4 of the top ten Universities. I would rank Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard as the joint number one Universities in the world.

It’s the best, not the cheapest, I’m sure we lose that contest consistently.

20% of the worlds immigrants choose the US, 2x more Canadians move to the US than Americans move to Canada (with 10% of the population).
It's all hype based on yesteryear...Today, the US is a shithole , is undemocratic and on the verge of a civil war between liberals and ignorant rednecks, and facts and rational thought are dispised.

Are you able to compare those stats to countries like China and North Korea that never tell the truth?

No you can't.

So using whatever stats you have stumbled upon is not a good source of truth...because in countries like China and North Korea, no one dies until they are 120, with no illnesses, crime or corruption and there is too much food to go around.
Truth? When was the last time Trump told the truth???? LOL....

And multiply Canada by 10 because of the population difference and you have 180 for Canada. But that's only if you want to compare apples to apples.

BTW, the educations systems are not strictly university. Our whole education system in general is better. The average Canadian has a much more well-rounded education than the average American.

Our universities are much better. Canadians flock to the US because of opportunities.
And the US gives those opportunities to the Canadians for their superior education. There have been many articles about the "brain drain" from Canada.

There is some truth to that, Cuba's main export is its doctors.

As for the UofT's ranking, it's up there with the Harvard School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins in North America. Since Trump has been in office, the brain drain as slowed to a trickle. In 2017 - 18 Toronto created more tech jobs than Silicon Valley. I tried not to make this thread about America's Greatest President...oh well.

All you have to do is look at all those over crowded Italian hospitals to warn you off single payer healthcare....

https://youtu.be/_J60fQr0GWo
The cost in the US is out of control and let's just say the care can sometimes keeps your lawyers more than busy.

when I thought it was more convenient for my schedule I once tried to get a heart stress test done at Sarasota General Hospital. First quote was $8,000. I was shocked, its a 30 minute test by one clinician(or half of one) and 5 minutes with a cardiologist. When I refused they lowered it to $3,000 which I also refused. Like bargaining for a used car. Finally got it done for $800.

Fact is, Canada doesn't have 180. They have 18. That's the point.

It's like saying Canada's military is as powerful as the US if you multiply all the fighter jets they own by 10.

Do you have proof that the average Canadian has much more well-rounded education than the average American? Is there a survey about "well-rounded education" out there?

Cuba's main export is sugar followed by tobacco.

UofT isn't in the top 10...whereas 5 US medical universities are.

Canada's immigration laws are less strict than the US. So you have a lot of people coming to Canada on work visas applying for tech jobs before arriving. They will often accept jobs at lower pay rates because their goal is to become citizens. Then if they get the job, they move to Canada. If they secure employment and before 1 year is up, they can apply for their PR status. So it's a bit misleading that all those tech jobs are going to Canadian citizens. It's more accurate to say that there are more tech jobs being filled by companies that want cheaper labour in Canada than the US.
Lots of good IT talent in India, but everyone want to work abroad if it means they can settle there. A good friend of mine is a recruiter and has been seeing this trend for several years. She says on average, when screening applicants for tech jobs, 1 in 20 are Canadian citizens.

Maybe you should move back to the US, boob.
Sounds like you'd like it better there.

After all, even after the best you could do to defend American health care was to say it was better than North Korea, here you are pivoting to talk about education.
But like their health care system, its got its issues as well.

This post is almost entirely BS. Canada relies on immigration for its high tech sector. Born Canadians do not care to get a proper education. Canada relies on foreign students and graduates from other countries to fill its high tech jobs.

Between the high cost of education and the low interest for getting educated, most born Canadians get a subpar education. The exceptions are children of recent immigrants and Jewish people, who still value education.
Born Canadians seem to think that the world owe them a well paying job, and if you have ever looked at resumes, you will know that they can (or don't care) to write a proper resume.
