They don't play "Hot For Teacher" with Sammy on board?

Bring back Dave!

I do hope this reunion thingy will happen, and DLR could still jump as high as before, with his wig intact :D

Update

Its true that Wolfgang is now an official member of Van Halen. What that means is that they have every intention of touring with him in 2007. Mike has not been contacted by Edward and probably won't be either. I cannot go into detail as to why, but there are good reasons and only a few know exactly why. I'll leave it at that.

Dave, though not officially back yet is indeed back. There is hope to make the announcement fairly soon.

An album is in the works, what is not set in stone is just how many vocal tracks there wil be on it.

Things look really good.

I can't believe Valerie Bertinelli would let her 15 year old son out on the road with EVH. She's OK with him being subjected to excessive drugs, alcohol and women at that age? Makes you wonder how much she tried to help EVH clean up his act when they were still married.

Anyone care to wager that Roth will piss Eddie off again in about 3 to 4 weeks of touring.

My prediction right now is that the entire thing goes down in ego flames yet again.

An update!

Here's more info for the hardcore VH fans from what I heard today:

The announcement should come at any time, whether it’s before Thanksgiving or not, they don't know. Things are coming together quite rapidly, faster than expected!

Something else I would like to clarify is Sam and Alex's friendship!
Yes they are still friends and yes they talk on occasion, but Sammy is not coming back to the band anytime soon. He is not at all bitter about this reunion with Dave, but holds out hope that Mike will be involved and is trying to get Alex to talk Ed into it.

Nobody knows how long this reconciliation with Dave will last, but its going to be at least one tour and one release.

The release being either the long waited boxed set (with either some new stuff or unreleased material from all incarnations of the band) or a new album by itself!

There you have it boys and girls, the Mighty Van Halen is about to embark on a World Tour in 2007 and don't be surprised if they take over top spot again in the music world, the new music is that great!
:)

@ home of course. Jeesh!
Behold!!!

This is the closest representation of the DLR era (the only VH era that matters) that you will ever hear!!!
Rosie believes that not even the real VH can sound this good anymore.
Can't wait to hear them with Wolfgang.

You will all be very surprised when you hear Wolfie play, and the background vocals aren't bad either.

The kid is the real deal, trust me.

When they finally do decide to speak, Dave will say nothing but great things about him.

I just can't believe just how well they are all getting along right now, Its going to be a great tour, one not to miss for sure.

The guys do plan on playing for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame gig when they are inducted in New York on March the 12th! :)

Wolfie will do fine on bass...... anybody could play the VH basslines. Yes it's too bad MA is not on bass but if there was an expendable member of the band he was certainly it.

I still have nightmares after seeing two MA bass solos.

Agreed but why would anyone be expendable..this is nothing more than a grudge that makes Eddie look petty and greedy...with Wolfie's size I guess his dad will continue to pay him in twinkies

I mean honestly, you only have to see Moby Dick performed on video to realize that they would need two skilled session drummers to perform at his level.

Undeniably, John Bhonam was the best ever on the skins.

I always respected the bands decission to stop playing as Led Zeppelin after his death. I agree with you, it would be wrong to have a reunion tour keeping the name Led Zeppelin.

Bhonam's contribution was too significant to ignore.
