What are Some Simple Things You Suck at?

Kyra_to said:
I love doing laundry and even enjoy the folding and putting away part, however I'm awful at folding sheets. They are just too big and awkward for me, I have no idea how shorter women manage because at 5'9" I feel like I need to grow another foot just to properly 'wrangle sheets' and lets not even talk about the mess I make of the fitted ones!
Just a hunch here... going out on a limb here to make this prediction: I doubt ANYONE would complain if you helped them mess up their sheets! ;)

I'm with you Kyra, I don't know how to do it. I dated a couple of women who could. They did it so fast I didn't catch how they actually did it and even when they explained it to me I was like "huh"?? wha'? do that again lol.....

I still just make a lame ass attempt at folding fitted sheets but they always end up in a clumped up ball lol....

I guess I'm just average...

I don't really suck at anything...

I am the opposite. But I'm a viking when it comes to folding, ironing, hanging, and storing. My linen closet looks like the retail display at Bed and Bath. Everything folded uniformly, matching in size and shape (and I hope color). Arranged in it's own compartmentalized (with emphasis on mental) area of the shelf. When I'm done, I go to my parents place and do theirs. They remark that they can't tell the fitted sheets from the flat once I put them away. I'm currently vacationing at my in laws and neede to use their machines. To access them I had to sort out the things they had going in both machines. There's no stopping me. I find the whole process of folding very therapeutic. The T shirts look like the display at the IT store with collars and logos exposed in a perfect square and the rest tucked away in neat folds with no wrinkles.

I would gladly come do your laundry any time LL.

As for what I'm not good at... I'm color blind so I can't sort.

when I was very young I sucked at titties.

Then as grew older I lover to take stuff apart. But could not always get it back together.

Now I can put stuff together and sometimes even use instructions.

But what I really suck at wanting to cut my lawn. Oh sure I do it but damn it the crap only grows back. I tell you it is unfair.

I suck at making small talk and mingling in general. You know those elevator conversations or reception type situations. I just feel so awkward at it and have never been one to "work a room".
Ditto.

I also suck at any and all organizational and administrative tasks: I always fill out my taxes late, I cannot for the life of me put a letter in the mail, I regularly double-book myself, I still need to change my adress 2 weeks after moving in my new place, etc. There's a reason I work with an agency!

I am however perfect mariage material for all other household chores: I cook (decently), I bake, I'm the queen of laundry and folding, I rock at organizing and storing stuff (books (alphabetized and by genres of course), clothes, shoes, etc.), I'm handy enough to know how to use my drill, my bed is always neatly made military-style, etc.

EXCEPT - the DREADED @(*#@#&$^&*@^* LAUNDRY!!!!!!

Ican organize, separate and place it in the machine but, the folding and putting away part I just simply cannot follow-thru on. It sits, gets moldy, and then I start over and once it makes to the dryer, I forget and let it sit until the wrinkes are so damn set-in that an iron is a joke:(
Hell yes....I cant do laundry for the life of me.

I am always going to buy new stuff because all my clothes are in the hamper or so wrinkled the iron does not have a chance. I also drop stuff off at the dry cleaner and never pick it up....

But man I can do many other extraordinary feats and am an amazing multi tasker......go figure.

I am actually trying to do laundry right now and it is all over my dining room...Molly asks herself honestly "how long will it be on the dinning room table...lol"

Ditto. I too love doing laundry (I find it quite therapeutic - I'll sometimes wash things that are already clean if I'm upset about something, lol). But I suck at folding sheets too and I'm only 5'1".

I suck at putting on eyeshadow and eyeliner too. My eyeliner tends to look crooked and when I try to do a sexy smoky-eyed look, I end up looking like a drag queen. If I do one eye perfectly I'll always f*#k up the other one so my face will look asymmetrical. I'm always jealous when I see women who look stunning with their eye makeup done perfectly. I just stick to my mascara.

i really suck at ironing and cleaning windows... tried it its much easier to hire a cleaning lady to come once a week and clean my windows... i literally have 10 suits for work and a shitload of shirts and ties that she irons when she comes too... other than that i cant kayak...

Two things:
Penmanship. No one can read my handwriting but me. And that's not a sure thing either.

Second: Public speaking. I'm so bad at it, I actually understood George Bush, most of the time. People often misunderestimate me because of this.

People skills in general. Not much of a conversationalist. Can't make small talk.
Baking. Can't be bothered. Don't have a passion for pastries, cakes, etc. But for cooking, oh damn, I'm good.
Drawing. I draw a dog, it looks like a giraffe. I draw a giraffe, it looks like an elephant. I draw an elephant, it looks like Rosie O'donnell. I draw Rosie O'donnell, I lose space on the paper.
Few other things I can't think of at the moment.
