I suck at skating backwards! I can skate forward great, but I just cannot do backwards crossovers to save my life! It's a good thing I'm not relying on my hockey skills to put food on the table.

I cannot whistle.
I cannot snap my fingers.
I usually have difficulty lighting a match.
However, after four decades of trying, I now have a success rate of about 50% at putting on a tie.

I suck at being tolerant of stupid people who think they are smart and you can't have a decent conversation with them...Yes, I did speak to my ex yesterday!

I love to have eggs with my breakfast but I can only cook them one way: hard boiled. I would love to have them almost any other way: scrambled, sunny side up, over easy ... but those techniques are beyond my meagre skills.

Things I suck at... funny this thread came up because a lady I was with last week asked me the same question... her issue was sense of direction.

So, here's a short list:

1) Absolutely atrocious hand-writing - my admin ranks me worst in my office. Thank god for computer keyboards and blackberry's, which means no one else really needs to be subjected to my hand writing any more.

2) I'm a slob, don't clean up after myself, although I have gotten a little better over the years. In this category as well, I have certain shirts that I own that no matter what I am doing, I will spill something on them. But only with certain shirts, and it feels like every time I wear them I have to change them.

3) I procrastinate over tasks I find onerous. I've never done my taxes on time. At one point I was 4 years behind, and got a huge pay check in owed money back from the government when I finally straightened it out. All my bills are on auto-pay for this reason, which is why I still have good credit!

I find it funny how having kids has impacted #2 & #3 for the better. You just have to get shit done and picked up when you have small children. It forces me to clean up and not procrastinate over stuff for them. There's no hope for #1, I should have been a doctor writing prescriptions.

#1 My penmanship sucks.
#2 I find it difficult to follow along in a conversation I have no interest in. When you are in a social gathering and people are making small talk I better get the sports minded to talk to. Although I have got better over the years thanks to my girlfriend.

What a great thread. Somewhat depressing though. As I read along, I saw many things that were mentioned that I'm also not good at and I started thinking, Oh crap, I'm frigging useless. LOL
Not really. But here's a list of some of the things I'm lousy at.
Penmanship. Grade 5 teacher said I was destined to be a doctor.
Drawing.
Cooking - other than breakfast. But I don't mind doing dishes.
Folding those damned fitted sheets. Glad to see I'm not alone here. All the other laundry related items, I'm great at.
Small talk with people I don't know.
Sticking to the exercise or healthy eating regimen.
Getting things I don't like doing done on time.
Tidying up. Clean - no problem. Tidy - not so much.
Singing. Couldn't carry a tune if it had a handle.

See what I mean, I'm friggin useless. thanks for all the reminders everone. LOL

I consider a paper clip a complicated mechanical device.

On the rare occasion when I actually use a drill, screwdriver, wrench for something v e r y simple- I have this amazing sense of accomplishment!

With half the Terb population apparently unable to fold fitted sheets, I'm starting to think that I should offer Fitted Sheets Folding Tutorial as an extra service to my regular GFE. We already have the material at hand, so it's convenient.

For no extra charge, I'll teach you how to fold those cursed fitted sheets, and impress your (future) GF/wife with this skill. I can also teach you how to make a bed military style while we're at it.

Dammit, after the two reviews of your latest duo, and all this talk of beds, all I can think of is Gen in a bedroom! How am I going to stand up without offending any one?

PS I've always been better at messing up the sheets then folding them...

Better add spelling and proper use of capital letters to the list as well! :p

(Just kidding! LOL)
That's really funny because usually spelling, grammar and punctuation are strengths of mine. But clearly, typing isn't. LOL
