I don't associate bdsm relationships with being treated badly, I said I associate some of the types of treatment with pain and bad treatment (which may be pleasure for some), which is prevalent in certain instances.
What can be pain and horrible treatment for some, is considered pleasure for others, but the underlining factor for all is respect for the sub, who technically has the power.
The sub has the power in bed but you have to be careful that the dom doesn't then try to use his control outside of the bedroom/outside of the sexual context.
I think that a good Dom knows when and where to exercise dominate behaviour, regardless of if it is inside the bedroom or more of a lifestyle thing.
I personally think this in itself is why contrary to the belief that the Dom possesses all the power, the Sub technically does. He/she establish the boundaries, what they seek and enjoy and the things they do not.
A great relationship with Sub is built with a lot of trust, learning and time invested. It is the inexperienced ones doing the exact opposite who give others a bad name.
Confidence, personality and a sense of humour does attract women. You don't have to be a dick to portray confidence. What you are suggesting is behaviour designed to punish women who are attracted to you. There are women with a lack of self esteem who like to be treated like dirt or others with a lack of self confidence who need constant reassurance - maybe these girls are suited to a self centered and/or abusive games. This kind of behavior that degrades the role of women into a subservient pet is the same kind of behaviour that these 'macho' date specialists preach.
What is wrong with some mutual self respect ? My frequency of contact is a measure of the type of relationship we have, it is not some twisted game to change it.

I've never had a problem meeting girls, dating girls and having sex with them. The ones I really liked/fell in love with turned into long term (as in 2 to 6 year) relationships. I've never once played games or taken the approach you mentioned. Being caring, polite and respectful has worked just fine for me.
I've never had to pretend to be somebody else. That sounds like way too much work.
I'm married now so not "dating" anymore. When I was single I didn't have a preference to race, nationality or religion.

I think assuming a person's dating preference on this forum is pointless.
