Rules: English or Irish pub, ok Scottish too, as close to "UK authentic" as can be, no loud music, not a sports bar, not too trendy (ie. an actual interesting clientele), no Firkins or Gabby's (they're ok places and I frequent a few of them, but they're everywhere and I am looking for a unique one-off sort of pub).
I like the layout at the Bedford Academy on Prince Arthur, and there is a huge cookie cutter Irish Pub in the fake downtown strip at Hwy 7 and Hwy 400, beside Dave and Buster's, which is gorgeous on the inside but obviously faux-Dublin, in that its a, you know, a perfectly antique two-year old pub, if you follow. The Irish Embassy, though not intimate at all, works too, but its cavernous inside.
Anyhow, where's a nice real British Pub. Small, cozy, quiet, crappy food, good beer, all that crap?
