Like when you get the hotel room yourself specifically for an outcall but don't plan on staying there.

Does the hotel receptionist look at you weird when you check in with no luggage, then check out a couple hours later?

Does she ask why you've only been there for a few hours and if anything was wrong with your room? Maybe you would like to switch to a different room if the last one was not to your satisfaction etc...

Or can you pre-pay so you don't have to check out on the way out and explain why you were only there for a few hours?

No one at the hotel will care.

If you want carry in your gym bag and just tell them something came up.

The ones I have been to i didn't have to check out in person. I think most hotels are like that, just leave your keys in the room before you leave and you are good.

Man up dude!

I just check in with a gym bag with a change of cloths.I'm paying for the entire night so why not stay? Hotel gets their money and you get the girl. It's a win-win.

You can book and pre-pay online @expedia.ca or other hotels websites.

Forget the gym bag, on real trips I often walk up and check in with no bags in sight either because they are in the car or my wife is watching them elsewhere. On overnight trips I often have nothing more than a messenger bag with my laptop and one change of clothes. I have also booked into a room legitimately for only four hours because I was tired as hell and needed to nap before a meeting or a flight, or in one case because I was driving and couldn't stay awake any longer.

Just stand there and look bored while they do the paperwork like every other time you checked in to a hotel.

Book via Hotwire, Priceline, or Booking.com, pay for the room online, check-in with a credit card and you don't have to go to the front desk to check out.
Just use the express checkout/call from your room to say you are checking out early and leave.
The incidental fee will return to your credit card in a few business days.

Do the hotel takes prepaid visa for incidental charges deposit ?
Yes. I personally use the MasterCard one with Cash Money for all my hotel bookings.
Keeps my provider banking life separate from my personal banking one.

Never had an issue and I book the 4-5 star hotels downtown.

You can also pay the incidental fee in cash for majority of hotels depending on where you go. This would be after room + tax has already been paid for, via those booking sites or even the hotel's reservation line. Except when you pay in cash, you have to go back to the front desk to get your money back, once you do check out.

*Sometimes I go back a different day if I really don't have the time to stand in those long lines to officially check out in person.

Chloe, I have noticed in a number of your posts that you take the time to supply very helpful information to members. Kudos!

Aw, thank you! I try.
I remember very well how it felt, being unsure of how hotels operate, it can be quite intimidating for the people who don't know.
But the minute they understand the system, they are good to go. :)

I like outcalls and book hotels every couple months. I usually use the room for the evening and leave.

First of all, no one cares how long you're staying or what you'll be doing. People book rooms for few hours for any kind of reasons, to nap, to work, to see a mistress or an escort, for interviews, etc.

I check in at the counter. I never check-out physically unless I have a complaint/compliment or need something. The only thing I am careful about is how messy the room is when I leave. If it is (i.e. Food play gone wild) I will leave a larger tip for the cleaning crew so it stays under the radar.

Relax, book a room and have fun.

I think some hotels have something called a cheaper "day rate" where you're only using a room for a couple of hours. I think you have to call the hotel directly to inquire about this. I'd imagine it's quite common for people to only use a hotel for a few hours. Think of airline crew and travellers making connecting flights, etc. So not unusual for people to check in and out within a few hours. Why pay for an overnight stay, when you're only using a room for a few hours?

Hotel staff don't notice if you're not bringing luggage with you. They see hundreds maybe thousands of people a day. You're probably more likely to get red flagged at an airport these days if you're not carrying any luggage (even a carry on.)

If you booked using a credit card, then you can leave the key in the room when you're done because the hotel already has your billing info. No need to visit the front desk and no need to check out. I've done this countless times and never had a problem.

Seriously dude, the hotel staff could care less what you do in your hotel room, nor how long you stay, as long as you don't damage anything. Many business professionals, traveling sales people, really anyone needing a private room to conduct a meeting of any kind, use hotel rooms for such things. As long as they get their $, its all good. I've personally used a hotel room for a multitude of reasons OTHER than for spending a night.

Trust me, we don't care about no luggage and assume with a day rate somebodies getting laid :)

Hotels like day rates as they can sell the room twice in 24hrs , In this business its all about maximizing revenue. that's why no -one really bothers escorts , unless the traffic to the room is excessive or overly noisy. Escorts generally are quiet and pay the rates so to us just another guest

Precious few hotels bother the ladies, and that goes for pooners too. You have to make noise, be conspicuous or otherwise cause problems to get on their radar. Otherwise, they don't give a shit.

Ask for the day rate, which is cheaper, but you would have to check out by 5 PM, and will make you look even more suspicious.

Here in Ottawa, there are reports that some hotels are very much escort-unfriendly. Some seemed to frown upon day rates if you ask them. Personally, I had experienced the latter.
