Woman furious at male duck for mating with female

Strange question.
I don't think the people confused about duck mating habits on the thread are more likely to be one political ideology or not.
There's an incredibly high probability that she had no real idea what the ducks were doing. Studying non human animal behaviour is one thing, but being some random out looking for a new shade of blue hair colour for yourself and not liking the commotion you're hearing is another.

Its part of why they have the elaborate corkscrew and anti-spiral gentials. (Since the females don't want to be bred by the rapey ducks they didn't choose.)
It's and genitals, but I digress.

Trying to take them apart if the male duck is already inside the female can cause a lot of harm to both involved, even more so if the female is accepting of the male and some clown alien life form decides it doesn't seem right and wants to break it up.

Nature designed everything in particular ways for various reasons. Human intervention wasn't needed in this case because someone who doesn't really know what's going on decided to do something about it.

I never said otherwise.
We don't even see what the ducks are doing, so it is very hard to tell.

What does any of this have to do with "lefties", though?
We know nothing of her political leanings, and I am not making judgment of the leanings of those in the thread.

I never said otherwise.
It was implicit enough that "she possibly knows what's going on and trying to stop it".

We don't even see what the ducks are doing, so it is very hard to tell.
Good thing she was getting that net I guess, to see what was going on.

For me and why I'm saying it, it's just entertainment, we don't know her political leaning, but the proverbial Karens do seem to come in large part from the "left", but there are a lot of crazy ass conservative ones as well.

I did just because it adds more "colour" to the whole thing. lol

don't tell me, you teach a course at a community college
Nope.

why Whales are the biggest mammals

but they don't have to be
That could be a clever title for a course about upending things people "know are true" and showing how much more complex the natural world is than we think.

so glad to see that you are an expert in so many fields, including animal behavior

you must appreciate Jordan Peterson's take on lobsters then
I do.
He's so comically wrong in so many ways.

Typos happen.

Of course, we have no evidence she was trying to do that and not just trying to break up the early parts of the assault, since we never see the ducks.

Nature designed everything in particular ways for various reasons. Human intervention wasn't needed in this case because someone who doesn't really know what's going on decided to do something about it.
But again, I haven't defended her behaviour.
I've pointed out how weird it is that people seem confused that she viewed a coercive event as coercive.

What do you call it when you omit a punctuation mark? its/it's? Lack of typing or an actual typo, hmm...

Chances are probably good they were mating. ;)

You may not have, but you just needed to chime in, knowing it all, so now you're dealing with it and you learned the difference between its and it's. :p

She might.
She might know due to knowing about ducks.
She might just be seeing what looks like an attack and interpreting it correctly.

Hell, she might be part of a group that tries to disrupt attacks in disturbed habitats where human interference has resulted in overpopulation of male ducks.

No idea.

Good thing she was getting that net I guess, to see what was going on.
I interpreted the net as her trying to break up the ducks swarming, but we don't really get a good look, do we?
She certainly didn't seem to be capturing the ducks or even trying to.

For me and why I'm saying it, it's just entertainment, we don't know her political leaning, but the proverbial Karens do seem to come in large part from the "left", but there are a lot of crazy ass conservative ones as well.
That's interesting.
I've always seen "Karens" primarily associated with the right.
Shows you how they are just an internet meme, really, and people project all kinds of things on them.

I did just because it adds more "colour" to the whole thing. lol
Yes, you are projecting political issues onto something as a way of amusing yourself or lashing out or whatever.
It seems a bit silly.

the event was not coercive at all

her perception of it was

the event was simply nature being nature in nature

that is the problem with liberal minded people like her

arrogant to the point of thinking that she knows better how it should be

No idea.
Or they could be mating.
She could be emotionally unhinged (see the part where she gets into the water and asks for a net)

I interpreted the net as her trying to break up the ducks swarming, but we don't really get a good look, do we?
She certainly didn't seem to be capturing the ducks or even trying to.
So you're interpreting on something of which you "don't really get a good look"?
Asking for a net and getting it in hand, I don't think her intent was to catch gold fish....?

To me, the OG unhinged Karen.

Silly is fun entertaining, hence THE KAREN, see above video.

And you had to jump in because since you're a "liberal" you didn't like the fact that almost every person called her a crazy leftie and you didn't like that representation of the "lefties".
Did you watch the news last night? Did you see all the men, some with beards, in cheerleader outfits half naked dancing in the streets of Toronto, GROWN MEN! la-la-la-la-la!!

It's a typo.
They're very common.
Not sure why you are trying to read so deeply into it.

Chances are probably good they were mating. ;)
The question for her was probably whether or not they were mating coercively or not.
The actual mating is very short, only seconds from what I understand.
The chasing down and the biting and all that would be much longer.
It would be almost impossible for her to interfere with the actual mating, it's so explosive and quick.

You may not have, but you just needed to chime in, knowing it all, so now you're dealing with it and you learned the difference between its and it's. :p
You seem weirdly obsessed with typos.
Are you ok?
That doesn't seem a normal thing to get this worked up over.

I see.
Is this a "everything natural is good" argument you are building here or are you just ignoring the actual science about ducks?

For people who come across as pedantic, why not correct them, help them in their cause. I got your back bro.

I have tons of videos being around ducks, I helped out on a farm, I love animals to death (if that isn't noticeable enough by some of my posts).
If I can figure out a way to take out the audio to protect myself and my friends around me, I will gladly upload and share them.
I will tell you, I've seen ducks do this plenty of times and the females manage to deal with the males an overwhelming majority of the time.
Meet the Quackers (gang), ignore the goat's ass, he was going for some food I had behind me in a bin.

I could correct more, but I won't, your "pride" is crushed as it is.
I repeated it to mess around, you don't have to worry, it's over. lol
