Work out supplements

I use to work out 6 hrs a day...running and going to the gym...training for triathons so I never needed any artificial help

but since I decided to work(which I still regret), I haven't been able to get to the gym as much and in my old age, my metabolism isn't what it use to be....and I don't want wrong hole to be fat hole...because everyone makes fun of the fat guy...

Can anyone suggest a good supplement that can increase my energy levels(that works and no nasty side effects) to help my workouts....I don't want muscle mass(hockey goon or SC bouncer is not my future occupation)....just good definition without the need to work out 7 days a week....

Does any of the supplements really work...and which one is the best one from personal experience...

A friend of mine gave a bottle of supplements called 'Cuts' with Citrus Aurantium, CLA, Coleus Forskohlii & Guggul Extract..

...it did nothing for me....

I have no heart problems

Before you use supplements you should get your diet and training program in order.People use supplements thinking they will work just on their own.They are caled "supplements" for a reason.They "supplement" your training and diet.

You'll make much more progress if you just get on a good weight/cardio program and follow a good diet.

Plus,think about it this way. If supplements really worked do you think people would still be taking anabolics?

Do yourself a favour and save the money you plan on supplemenets and put it towards buying nutrient dense food or in a savings. It scares me to think about all the money I pissed away on supplements. One of my friends in High School used to call me The Supplemet Whore, cause all I would do is spend my money on supplements.

Instead of using Hydroxycut, ripped fuel, Xenadrine,etc before a workout, just load up on high GI carbs like potatoes,bread,gatorade,etc.

Eat small meals consisting of 60% carbs, 15% protein and 25% fats. The key is never to be too full or too hungry.

When I trained for a competition, I used a bunch of supplements - but nothing like a thermogenic aid or ephederine-based supplement was ever used - I leaned up just enough. Also, I feel that a proper diet probably comprises of 60% of the effort to get lean. Supplements alone won't do it.

I just recently start toning my body. I am in a pretty good routine right now, so when I happen to miss a workout, I feel sluggish the whole day. Hate that! Plus, I find that working out in the morning is the best natural energy boost for the rest of the day.

I have never used supplements nor ever plan to. I just don't trust the stuff.
