Worst drivers!

As I said earlier in this thread, bad drivers are everywhere, you cannot label a whole race to be bad drivers. For every bad Asian driver you see, there is a bad jewish soccer mom plowing down the street in her SUV that is way to big for her to handle. For every bad brown guy driving a beat up old honda, there is a old white guy in a cadillac driving 40kmph in a 60kmph zone. For every black cabbie that makes that super illegal u-turn in the middle of downtown traffic, there is young punk flying down the DVP weaving in and out of lanes without signalling. They come in all different races, all different ages, and certainly both genders.
So to any of you that just stereotype a race in being bad drivers, why not reveal your race and we can label all the stereotypes about you just as easily as you did for them.

Is this more about hatred towards Asians ("WTF are they doing in MY country and why are they driving a semi-decent car") instead of a statistical analysis of the driving skills of Asians (number of tickets received, average insurance premiums, accident rate, etc. compared with those of drivers of other races)?
For those who insist on this stereotype, can you please provide an objective source of statistics to prove this assumption?

Burlington Ontario residents are the most selfish drivers I have ever seen.
They all drive their fucking mini vans or big honking SUV's at 90 km/hr everywhere and would sooner die then let you in.
That's probably the suburbs at large I acknowledge, but I seem to see it alot in Burlington.
And they are mainly fat pasty white guys.
I find the 416 drivers far more courteous. They know you are fucked unless they let you in, so they do. In Burlington, it's an afrount to one's masculinity to let anyone in.

I can name a group of people who are worst than Asian drivers:
'Cottage-County' drivers on the 400:
You hear about them, read about their patheitc excuses for speeding, heck Sgt. Cam Whooly can write a best selling book about them.
I get a laugh when I read about those stories at work, after a long weekend holiday.

So it could be said that within any given group there is a narrower spectrum of bad drivers and that bad driving is relative to what is considered bad from the perspective of another group.

In my experience many "Asians" are among the most conscientious drivers and possibly more cautious vs the more aggressive ( defensive) and often frenetic driving attitude of many westerners. It seems, to a degree, that each group assumes another to be as they are themselves. Of course these are just generalisations and only some of the possible variables, but there is usually an element of truth in the conception of stereotypes - there always will be differences in "cultural experience" and/or attitude etc., and to deny it is silly. We just have to stay aware that they are just stereotypes/generalisations.

Car insurance rates are partially based on the locations you drive on a regular basis (home/work neighbourhood, commute distance/route, etc.). I was told by my insurance company that the rate for my neigbourhood is one of the higher rates in the city because it has a higher than average accident rate. Since most accidents happen close to home it could be inferred that the people that live in my neighbourhood are worse than the average driver. I happen to live in a primarily asian community.
Now I don't personally believe that asians are inherently worse drivers than any other group. However, relative to other areas of the city asian communities have a disproportionate number of recent immigrants that may be unfamiliar with driving in Canada or for many driving at all.

I am so not kidding... she drives 80 on the 401, brakes when 1) a car 25 m ahead brakes 2) a car is turning out of a street onto the other lane on the other side 3) a car turns from the outer lane into the lane next to her's 4) a car in the lane next to her brakes even though her lane is clear 5) in the middle of the road. And on top of that, when she's in the passenger seat when I drive, she screams, squeels, tightens up, yelps, grabs the oh shit bar, basically being the worse back seat driver.
It's killing me!!! I hafta close my eyes and use my MP3 player whenever I'm in the car with her. Sensory deprivation!!!

Most drivers that do not live in the old city of toronto... it is all the suburban asshats (one whose head is up ones ass). Seriously since i moved out of the city in the last year i am dying to evict my tenants and move back into the city. GTA drivers are the most self centered bastages on the road and when it comes to recycling do not get me started.
Forget driver lol Try going through a mall of people and vote for who is the worst to get through isles around. I do not mean the aged either omg some of the old people could clear isles and knock over everyone to get through lol run em over lady run em over ha ha Seriously though have you not noticed how some people walk in malls everyone togher in a straight line and will not move even if they see you coming directly at them and make some room. I was walking behind this old lady and she seen a group of such people walking and talking amongst each other 4 in a row would even one move? NO, this old lady got right almost up to thier toes and told them out of my way or my wheels will cripple your toes. They moved and made space and me right behind her. lol Some how I just have to love fiesty spirited old ladies.

Way back when, her car had a digital read out for the speedo. When I was driving on the highway, she new EXACTLY how fast I was going and would always tell me to slow down.
I used to turn on the headlights and dim it down to darkness.
That always got her going.
