Just so we're clear, I only have a problem with the bolded red parts below. Of course I have no problem with street proofing kids against pedo creeps:

Sorry, I have no clue what you're trying to say
Ahhhh.. So you're a homophobe who would rather his children pretend that healthy homosexual relationships don't exist.. Or is it that you want your children to be kept in the dark about how their own bodies are changing (or will be shortly)??

The reason we shouldn't leave sex education up to parents is because many parents simply don't have a clue when it comes to this stuff
Right, but Liberals wanna start all this in grade 3 and 4. Sorry, thats too young IMO.

I also find something very creepy about Kathleen Wynne. Especially after her right-hand man got busted for kiddie porn

No, I have a problem with starting this stuff in grade 3 and 4

... What's wrong with an 8 year old understanding that it's normal that his friend might have two Dads?? What's wrong with a 9 year old understanding that the little hairs he's growing (or will be growing within the next year or so) are perfectly normal?

I dont want my child exposed to that stuff at that age.

I'm sorry you dont like that, but its my child and you're not gonna indoctrinate them according to your beliefs

They're teaching about sexting (or the act of sending visually explicit images by cell phone) in grade 7.. Despite what you've been tricked into believing.. This isn't an instructional "how to" class. It's a class that will discuss the dangers associated with such behaviour.

Most 12 year olds will already be well aware of the practice of sending lewd images by cell phone.. Teaching them about how it's a bad idea is not the same as teaching them HOW TO DO IT. There's no portion of the curriculum which teaches children "how to sext safely".
Exactly! When you have cases of kids committing suicide because nude pics of them went viral, it's a topic worth being taught in school!

Sorry dude, but you're out to lunch... at that age, your child has already figured out how to jerk (or diddle) themselves.
Sorry to be the one to bring you into the real world.

The only one that caught my attention. I am surprised that Grade 3 kids would be aware of same sex couples and question it. If it is just to condition them that you may have two men / women living together as partners - I would have no objection. I have a friend who changed teams after her daughter was born. Her daughter grew up accepting it as normal.

I would have no problems if other children were just as comfortable about gay couples. When I grew up gay couples would only be found in the closet so I was never exposed nor really gave it any thought.

So if they've figured out masturbation, then why the need to discuss it any further in school?? You think they should be taught how to masturbate safely?? LOL.

There's no need for it IMO.

There's also no clearcut age when some kids start masturbating. Some kids mature sexually early, others much later

It's not a belief.. Knowing that the gay couple living next door are functioning in a perfectly healthy relationship is accepting reality.. "Believing" that they are really committing "sin" (or are really just perverts) is YOUR belief..

Knowing that your body is going through (or about to go through) some physical changes is also accepting reality.. You can't "believe" that your daughter isn't growing breasts at 9 years old when she obviously is...

Here's your problem.. It's YOU who wishes to indoctrinate children.. The rest of us are trying to EDUCATE children..

You think 8-10 is too young to know about masturbation or healthy same sex relationships? Are you afraid your kids will start masturbating, because they probably already are. Or is it that they might "catch gay" that bothers you?

How about so that they are reassured that it is normal and not a bad thing.
You think most parents tell their children that?

Actually they need to be taught that it happens (and that it's NORMAL).. So they don't freak out and think they've caught some weird infection or some ridiculous shit.. They also need to be taught that it's a private thing to do (rather than be encouraged by some pervert to do it in front of them)..

AK-47 should be the poster child for sex education in schools!

Where did I say gays are committing "sin", or are really just perverts??
Can you point me towards that post, cause I mustve missed it??

How about you raise your kids the way you want to to, and I'll raise mine the way I want to.
Especially when they're only 8 years old.

Are you saying me and my kids dont have any rights, and its all about you??

I don't disagree.. Part of me disagrees with the curriculum because I'd like to believe that we're past having to explain to people that it's normal.. Unfortunately (thanks to folks like AK-47) it apparently is still necessary..

No one is trying to take away your rights.
And yes, you DO have the right to be ignorant to the fact that your 8 year old has probably already been touching themselves for the last year or two... and because of your ignorance, may actually be thinking that they are doing something horrible.

What rights are being trampled?? The right to ignorance???? Your kids do have rights.. The right to be educated on FACTS.. Luckily for them there's only so much their father can do to trample all over their rights..

Guess what, I prefer to bring up my kids as I see fit.
My parental rights > your perceived rights you *think* you have over my kids.

This is why people were demonstrating at Queens Park, nobody likes it when outsiders tells parents how they should raise their children

Again, it's not up to you to deny MY children access to facts based on YOUR BELIEFS.. If you want to indoctrinate your own children with your personal "beliefs" then you do it on your own fucking time.. You're well within your "rights" to withdraw your children from these classes so that they won't learn whatever FACTS you (personally) BELIEVE they aren't ready for.
