Stranded Woman Rescued From Crane Downtown

A woman who free climbed a 12 storey construction crane at Wellesley and Church had to be rescued by firefighters early this morning when she couldn't get out of the jam she got herself in.

Firefighter Rob Wonfor, who specializes in high altitude rescues, says he was "voluntold" to go do the rescue.

Quote from Wonfor:

"You know what, she has to tell me how she did it because she’s got to be our new training officer for high angle because it’s impressive,” he said. “I mean it was hard enough for me to go up with ropes and the harnesses and she free-climbed that — it’s incredible.
“She was very calm, very calm. She made me calm actually.”

An unnamed woman was arrested and charged with mischief by police after the rescue.

I'll bet she fucks like a wild animal too.

She didn't plan on getting stuck up there, prompting her rescue. She climbed up to take some photos and intended on coming back down afterwards. Obviously her plan went wrong.

You live in a world where you kype coins from pay washer dryers to pay lower range SPs that live in the buildings where you concierge. In reality stoppage of a work site and several hours of first responders time and equipment can cost $100k or more.

Try 4 hours...

There is a time/cost distortion in Phil c.'s head. He pays much less for his SPs because he is in and out of his quickies in 3 minutes and only pays two ten spots. So he believes an incident where a girl has climbed on a crane is a 5 minute work stoppage involving a Metro cop car and one ambulance and 5 minutes of the work crews time while they munch on their sandwiches at lunch time.
