What's with your Damn Yankees? They're supposed to help us, yet they get trashed by the Rays. And that's with Judge back.
They just walked Judge 3 times,lol......Same as the Orioles did the other night.

Why pitch to him when no one is hitting behind him. Rizzo, Stanton, LeMahieu are all massively under performing. To George Springer levels to put into Jays jargon.

Unless their vets become close to what they once were it's the bottom of the east this year.

You notice you don't see them buying right now. There's a reason why. They've got to many holes to fill.

Some controversy regarding German?
Yes he was going to miss the start. Then decided at 6pm that he could go but they said it was too close to the game time so they went with the rookie Brito. When Brito faltered they brought German in to clean up.

German is our Kikuchi. Just when you think you've really got something they get shelled in back to back starts. Consistently inconsistent. Good fourth or fifth starters though for the right price I suppose.

Yaay! I get to watch The Dodgers vs The A’s tomorrow at Dodger Stadium….. sadly, the reality is I’ll be looking at my phone for the Ryu boxscore the whole time. I would even consider bringing my headphones for my MLB app radio broadcast, but these tickets are a gift and that’s just plain rude. Lol. No disrespect to the Dodgers.

Ryan Mountcastle has been kyrptonite to the Blue Jays. In last nights game he hit 2 for 3, two doubles and a run scoring sacrifice fly. He was responsible for 3 of The Orioles 4 runs. That double in the first inning was particularily tough.

Is it worth intentionally walking him some of the time he's at bat? The Jays did intentionally walked Shohei a few times over the weekend, after he did damage in Game 1 and Chapman chewed out Schneider, so they aren't adverse to using the intentional walk when it makes sense.

I guess so. Yeah I did think about that. I don’t even know what’s going on with that….. is it official? Are they moving to Vegas?

Fuck'n Mountcastle! Jays have to walk him every at bat for the next 3 games!

They have to make a dead for Teo ,in case Bo is out indefinitely.

CC Sabathia as well.

The unknown factor of sorts is the pitch clock… that being said I’m not sure if those guys worked that slow either Where it comes into play now is a longer at bat. You get more rest in between batters. But when you get to say 6 pitches in the middle of at bat, you can no longer reset and take a bit of a break which I am sure many of the guys above did.

I think it’s at least a small part of the factor but probavly not near the biggest part of it. His slider has no bite and his command is off early in innings as well before fatigue would set in.
Agree but CC Sabathia was also taller. Still he would have a hard time with the pitch clock today.

We need to do something to shake up our pitiful offense. Putting Belt in the 3 slot is just stupid. I get that he has a good OBP but he strikes out way too much. 102 strikeouts in 284 plate appearances is terrible for anyone hitting in the top 5 of the order. This is the batting order I would put out on field vs. RHP
1. Merrifield
2. Bichette
3. Springer
4. Vladdy
5. Keirmeier
6. Chapman
7. Belt
8. Jansen
9. Varsho

I wonder how Clemens would have done with the pitch clock.

How could a guy who was so dominant for a year and a half seemingly lose it so suddenly. He is struggling mightily to find the strike zone.
I believe it is mostly mental.

This acquisition of DeJong tells me the injury to Bichette may be more serious than first thought.

While I agree with most of your suggestion, Bichette is a question mark now and I would move Jano out of the 8th spot as that's where you typically have your worst hitter. So Varsho right now.

I had Springer in 4th in my post the other week. But since then he's leading the team with hitting into double plays, so I would maybe drop him to 5th so in theory the bases are clear after the clean up hitter. If The Jays can get a clean up hitter.
Yes I didn't like having Jansen at 8 tbh. He's arguably been one of our better hitters the past month or so.

That was my initial thought but on further reflection The answer to that could be yes or no. The Jays needed an upgrade over Espinal and Bichettr irregardless of Bichettes injury. So it could be just that and Dejong is a nice fillet for 10 or 20 days … or it could be because Bichette has a more serious injury.

Either way it’s a help at a low prospect cost … except they Jays will probably have to cut him a cheque of 3m at the end of the year.

I suspect the Jays are not going to give out any real info on Bichette until aftet the trade deadline … would only make sense for leverage purposes.
