Look at selling of health care services to Shoppers, costing Ontario money.
Selling of nursing to private contractors, costing Ontario money.
Killing family doctors fees so more expensive private clinics can cost Ontario more.
Look at direct donor profit in land deals in the Greenbelt, Science Centre, Ontario Place and 417.
So you're trying to tell me that when voters stepped into the ballot box and marked an X beside the Liberal candidate in their riding, they were voting for that particular candidate? Man oh man that is another level of naivety. I sometimes wonder why I even engage with people who think this way as they aren't facing reality.
Far right believes in the following
1. Zero immigration
2. Authoritarian rule/Police state
3. Anti-Semitism
4. Ultranationalism

I can't pretend to know what everyone else in the world is thinking.
I know what is in my mind, and I know that what is in my mind is not a complete picture of reality. In my riding, my Conservative MP has achieved nothing in the last 20 years in parliament, and gone down the antivax rabbit hole. His latest thing is to try and remove regulations on "natural remedies", probably so that his wife can expand her MLM business.
My liberal candidate has been a ridiculous community volunteer, organized to help others, and been hugely successful on city council.
So yeah, for me, I voted for the candidate that would best represent me. My post literally said: If more people did that, our democracy would be stronger.
On the converse: PP ran as a national candidate, and his constituents said "You don't represent us, so you don't get to represent us". It's democracy at work, and another way in which PP misunderstood how our political system works.
I read about a study recently how the conservative-voter is more likely to be fear driven, and you are reinforcing my understanding of that study. You fear that everyone else is acting like you think they are, conspiring against you. The truth is: People don't give a shit about you. There is no great conspiracy, and if you would just get involved in making the 6 blocks around your house better, the world would be a better place.
I'm not mad at all, I'm quite happy. I'm a little sick of all the conservative tears. I have mugs and mugs of them in my fridge. Maybe I'll make IceTears out of them to take me through the summer. Perhaps TearCaps without all the sugar.
BTW, how does it feel the PM Doug Ford voted for was hand-picked by Justin to be his successor? I hope Justin gets a nice cushy job. Plus Freeland and Melany Jolie will be back with prominent cabinet positions. OK, I better stop, I really don't have anymore room in my fridge for anymore mugs.

Yes when we vote a candidate, we are voting for the party.
But I think there are those who know their candidate well and vote for them as well.
