The Raptors should still take the championship. It would be almost impossible for them to fall to the same curse as the Leafs did with Boston a few years ago and blow a 3-1 series lead.

So many people seem to be confident that the Raptors will finish it off tonight. I am not one of them. This Warriors team has been there done that. 5 straight years in the NBA Final. This will be the toughest win in the history of the Raptors franchise. Any lapse like we had in game 2 will do us in. If Durant is back tonight will make it an even harder feat.
Five straight years is cumulative damage Kirk.

Watching Kevin Durant go down was tragic, he TOFTT. Bad news for the Warriors. You wont see him on the court again until Easter 2020 the earliest, and when he does return it will be with another team. Matt Devlin said Demarcus Cousins had a similar injury in 2018 - which explains why he's struggled with fitness. Nobody called him a mamaluc at the Roma Club. Which proves that load management is a beautiful thing.

The Raptors went cold on 3's again and gave up too many second looks. When that happens Kawhi gets punished - photo in the Sports section of The Sun shows Boogie trying to steal his jock strap. If they go bumboclot again in G6 they'll lose this series.

Kawhi destroying the Warriors late in the game and they call a bloody time out. Took away all the momentum and that cost them the game.
In Nurse's defense, one of the TV commentators said at the time that Leonard was "gassed" and needed a bit of recovery time.

What cost the Raptor's the game was poor3 point shooting.

The fucking Warriors were gassed and on the ropes. First time in my 30 years of watching basketball I've seen the team that was on the run call the time out.

So many self-inflicted wounds by the Raps: the time out......Way too many 3 attempts.....Ignoring the interior, they wouldn't handle ours bigs. Those were easy buckets......Horrible turnover by Gasol late.....Confused last play.

But they will take it in Game 6.

there's always a few things done wrong by the Warriors too. We only ever look at one side.

I guess if your were Steve Kerr you would have sent KD back out after being carried out too. They were on a run too. It was so obvious that Kawhi was gasping on the bench during the time out. Noone ever cares about the players. Its just a championship that people want to gloat about. Its awful how fans acted and how they are talking now too.

Oh oh, wonkyknee you're right.

Obviously there were Leafs fans in the house, Raptors fans aren't known for stupidity. Why motivate the Warriors?

Exactly, they were the ones tossing the ball away with turnovers and air balls, they needed a break in the momentum and once they got it they settled back down and rallied while the Raptors went cold. Leonard didn't look gassed to me I don't see what the commentator was talking about, he's often pulled up like that to use up more of the clock when the Raptors have a lead inside 5 minutes. In any event, you don't let the other team off the hook while they;re floundering like that. If they had scored on that possession that might have been the margin of the game.

Can't really comment on too many 3 attempts or ignoring the inside, that sems to be how the game is played these days anyway. I cant wrap my head around the willingness to live & die with 3's but that's how t seems to be.

They should be able to take it in 6th but because of how they let this one get away, there will now have the weight on their shoulders to avoid blowing a 3-1 lead and having this post-season remembered for an all time epic choke instead of all the positives.

Good thing KD is out. He threw off The Raptor's chemistry/rhythm because he's that X factor (superstar) that the Warriors need to win. With a healthy KD, The Warriors would take the series. But he's not, so we're taking it.

Moments like last night did show that The Mamba Mentality is lacking because there is nobody with the killer instinct of a Kobe Bryant or MJ who WANTS the ball when the pressure to win is at its zenith, and there is one shot left, and KNOWS they will make that shot.

Nonetheless, it was a close one, and glory awaits The Raptors.

I expect Siakam to have his better game on the road this Thursday. He didn't really do anything special last night. I could be wrong but I didn't see him much on the floor in the 4Q.
Siakam averaged about 18 pts with the two road games last week. Siakam doesn't have to play vs KD for the rest of the finals so he should be able to score much more than the 12 pts he scored at home last night.

I feel sorry for KD. Apparently, he might be out for months. Achilles injuries are one of the worse. (If only our civil "servants" had the same attitude as KD.)

No matter what anyone says, this season has been a huge success regardless of what happens next. Anything more is a bonus.
