Horns Driven , thick Bass and Drum lines....southern soul style vocals and overtly sexual in a "clean "way"...........doesn,t get any better than that lol

This track has so much swagger - she sounds crazy confident and just oozes B A D A S S !

That's exactly up my alley - bass, drums and brass.

Del is rapper Ice Cube's cousin. His best LP is this one from 2000 'Both Sides of the Brain'. I posted the "Press Rewind" track a couple weeks back. This one I'd say is even better.

"Catch All This"

Around the same time he released a concept album with producer Dan the Automator, entitled 3030. It had some really futuristic type sounds, similar to this album. Here's a sample

Above the Law is one of my favorite hip hop acts from the West Coast. They were signed to Eazy-E's label Ruthless Records and released their debut LP in 1990. The group consisted of MC's Cold187um, KMG the Illustrator and DJ Total K-Oss.
This track was from their sophomore album Black Mafia Life, released in 1992.

"V.S.O.P."

Here are the exquisite prominent samples

"Backstrokin" The Fatback Band

"Genius of Love" Tom Tom Club

"I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" Hall & Oates

My favorite Otis Redding song written by him and great Guitarist Steve Cropper was Sitton' on the Dock of the Bay. Too bad he was killed in a plane crash soon after.
Eddie...of all the countless Otis Redding songs ..and man i heard just about everything he recorded....but this song gets me every time...Steve Croppers guitar following along with Otis,s voice...and that singular horn that starts in the middle of the song..that is pure as pure can be......and of course the pleading at the end is kinda the signature way that Otis ended alot of his ballads....
