MLB record for HRs in a season is 307. You're at 276 without a DH and bench. Who knows?
The DH would include anyone of the starting players, when Montoyo wants to rest them from the field , so if the utility players can amass 20+ HRs , they could approach 300 HR for season.

We didn't really give up all that much to get Chapman. Good job by Atkins/Shapiro. I also like the Kikuchi move.
Looking at what we have right now I think we should be considered the odds on favorite to win the AL East. I'd like another solid bullpen arm or two though. And of course injuries (Springer cough cough) can pose problems.

I Agree. Shakins have made some nice moves and I'm excited. 🕺

Freeman was not going to play 3rd.

FF could DH and spell Vlady at 1st. Assuming Vlady has told them that he's OK with that.

BTW, Chapman makes under $10M for each of the next 2 years.
Way more excited about Chapman than Freeman. Beejays are loaded w offence already.

I am going to love watching him play 3rd....as I did Scott Rolen.
Did Scott Rolen replace Troy Glaus on both the Angels and the Jays? Glaus was the 2001 WS MVP. Next Wednesday will be the first day of spring.

Marcus Semien took the money. Without Vladdy he'll be lucky if he gets 30 hr this year. March 16 was Vladdy's 23 birthday.

The Kikuchi and Chapman acquisitions are solid moves by management. Seems Atkins is finally starting to get the hang of it. Now get us a left handed bat and another quality bullpen arm and we're set.
