They signed this guy for $25,000 in 2016, compare to what they paid for Vladdy...

The pitching looks thin, unless Nate Pearson has gotten a heapin helpin of self-confidence.

Seems Atkins is finally starting to get the hang of it. .

Absolutely ridiculous comment.

Apparently you can't read between lines as they basically laid out their plan in 2016 and basically told everyone what they were going to do, and it's pretty much right on track.

I thought I had come up with one that would be hard to get… “Scoop” Al Oliver. But was surprised that he never won one.

Olerud doesn't qualify, if I understand the parameters correctly (player has to be a GG winner while playing for Jays) , he didn't win a GG until after he left the Jays. He won them with the Mariners.

No, anyone who both played for the Jays and won a Gold Glove during their career is eligible. For extraordinary nitpickers, Mike Young, (who won a Gold Glove for Texas Rangers), DOES NOT qualify, even though he played Grapefruit League games for the Jays; he was traded before his Major League debut.

11 more to go.

BTW, Chapman makes under $10M for each of the next 2 years.
Chapman is arbitration eligible for 2022 and 2023. He made $6,490,000 in 2021 and will get a raise. Matt Swartz projects he will get $9,800,000 this season. This guy has been tremendously accurate with his arbitration projects for years. Assuming Chapman reverts to 7 win form in 2022, like most of us fans think he will, then his 2023 salary will be close to 20 million. Conservatively, Chapman is getting paid at least $25 million total for his 2 years with the Jays.

Was thinking of pitchers and I got a tough one who had a very short stint with the team … i remember more Jays from the 80s than the 2010s. To be a kid again.
