And every year for the past 10 years brings record once in a lifetime extreme floods, fires, droughts and vicious tornados and hurricanes. The ice caps are melting. Yet you still deny!
No one is denying it, the problem is with the far-left pushing climate alarmism to push carbon taxes and other restrictions for personal and political gain. As I already told someone else, there were no ice caps during the Jurassic era, in fact CO2 levels were ten times higher then they are today. The Earth's rotation has a thing called precession, in layman terms if you spin something you will see that is wobbles.

So those slight changes causes climate changes. Every 10,000 years the Sahara desert turns into a lush forest.

Every 100,000 year there were ice ages, ice ages has happened likely due to a more elliptical orbit then usual.

Those historic climate change events also happened over thousands of years.
Now we are making the same amount of change in a couple of hundred.

Even then, carbon taxes will not change the weather. Who are you kidding with that? Liberals solution to everything are more taxes.
If you don't know the difference between weather and climate, just stay out of the conversation.

Looks like I triggered you. Stick to spreading Liberal propaganda. I know exactly the difference and no I will not stay out of the conversation. Do you really think that taxes will change the weather? Do you really think that taxes will change the climate? What dreamland are you living in? Loool Anyways, you already proven that you are a Marxist, ohh excuse me you are a Democratic Socialist. Lol That is kind of like saying, I am not a slave, I am a Democratic Slave. Looool Come on prove it that taxes really changed the weather or even the climate.

Yes, carbon tax and subsidies could have fixed climate change 20-30 years ago.

But it has not and those are the facts.

^^^^ As per the government website, it actually went up. Carbon Emissions.png

To reduce emissions it has to be a global effort. Not much other countries got carbon taxes, at least not the biggest polluters. Canada contributes just over 1%, so even if Canada went to zero emissions it would not make much of a difference. But it has generated over $31 billion of revenue. How many charging stations has been built with that? Definitely not enough to meet demand and until they address the problem of being able to charge at the same speed as refueling a tank it will not be feasible. Carbon taxes make things more expensive. Everything needs fossil fuels from production to transportation. Such things hit the poor the most. The rich continue to do as they want. The saying "Do as I say, Not as I do" is true for the Liberals. Trudeau and now Carney is zipping around the world on their private jet and getting chauffeured in luxury gas guzzlers, why are they not using public transportation or better yet riding a bicycle? Do you not see the hypocrisy in this?

^^^^ Carney is part of GFANZ yet the big banks withdrew from Net Zero banking. I wonder why? The countries know better that carbon taxes is a big fail and does not bring prosperity. So far, just like Trudeau, Carney is proposing to spend the big bucks in all kinds of investments but all this use public money so it means more taxes. He said that Canada needs to invest $50 trillion by 2050 to be carbon neutral, that is $300,000 per Canadian, meanwhile Canadians are struggling to pay rent and buy groceries. China would make up the difference overnight. None of this will create wealth and none of this will make Canada more productive which is needed for the standard of living to improve for the average joe.

Climate change is a global problem and the industrialized countries are its biggest causes.
Canada sends a high amount of CO2 out per capita.

Everyone needs to stop it.

You are just looking for excuses not to act.

But it will not. Everything from production of food, to delivering food, construction of houses, batteries, the power, all rely on fossil fuels. Unless you want to live like in the 15th century using the horse drawn carriages. Scamming ppl with carbon taxes is not the way. The free market will find a better solution. When the automobile came out, it provided a better product and ppl started to use that.

The best option for carbon free energy is nuclear power. Only nuclear can handle humanity's ever increasing energy demands. Production at industries can run on nuclear power. But then there is the issue of nuclear waste. GM shut down its electric vehicle plant in Ingersoll, ON due to not enough demand. Until they solve the issue of charging times so that it takes the same amount of time as refuelling, it will never catch on. The technology is still a decade away. We are both on the same page, just the methods are different. The Liberals are sneaky liars trying to use this important issue to scam ppl just to add more taxes.

Also cost is an important issue. Industries will not absord the cost to go carbon neutral, it will be passed on to the customer. It has to be cost effective. Renewable energy like solar, wind, and geothermal can be excellent supplements to nuclear energy. The solution is technology and innovation, not more taxes and restrictions.

Not when they happen with increased regularity and greater intensity. Why don't you ask the insurance companies?
insurance companies do not determine scientific facts

why do you not ask the IPCC scientists ?

what part of reality do you not understand ?
The IPCC has concluded that a signal of climate change has not yet emerged beyond natural variability for the following phenomena:

  • River floods
  • Heavy precipitation and pluvial floods
  • Landslides
  • Drought (all types)
  • Severe wind storms
  • Tropical cyclones
  • Sand and dust storms
  • Heavy snowfall and ice storms
  • Hail
  • Snow avalanche
  • Coastal flooding
  • Marine heat waves
what is wrong with your comprehension skills ?
seriously, you are given facts and yet you just ignore these facts so that you can keep you ideological driven false narrative alive

it is one thing to be scientifically ignorant
it is a whole other level of evil to deny scientific fact in order to try to drive a billion people into abject poverty and kill hundreds of billions

now get this fact straight in your head
extreme weather events are part of natural variability !!

larue, you are being very dishonest here by deliberately trying to mischaracterize what the scientists at the IPCC said.
You must really hate science and scientists.

The evil part is demanding others must live 15th century lives
The evil part is demanding those cuurently living in abject poverty must not be given access to affordable reliable fossil fuel energy

According to Frankfooter, more welfare will get those ppl out of poverty. Kind of like the same thing Trudeau said, the budget will balance itself. Liberals think money grow on trees. Looool
