Hey Gen, you felt violated and I sympathize with you. Just bear in mind that a 12 year old is NOT LEGALLY responsible for his action. If you touched him, that would be assault and/or child abuse. In fact, if you touched an adult that would also be assault.genintoronto said:

I heard that the reason we don't "hear" about all these suicides is because the newspaper companies want to sell their product (Globe, Star, Sun, NP etc.) on TTC property and if they report the suicides, the TTC considers it bad publicity so... they elect not to report them in most cases... but what do I know...Young_City said:

That being said, I did not slap him like I would have done if he was an adult exactly because I realized he was a kid and didn't feel OK slapping a kid.
But slapping a grown-up man after he groped me would not be assault - that's legitimate defense. The assault is the groping.
a few things come to mind... some funny and some not...
I remember a guy reading a hustler on the subway and some teenage girls get on and see what he was reading and started calling him every name under the sun.I thought he deserved it, just for being so stupid as to not try to be even a little bit discrete. But a couple of months ago I saw a guy reading a penthouse on the back of a St Clair bus going west and nobody, male or female, said anything but the people beside him did have that pained "I have to endure this idiot for X more stops" look on thier face.
Back in '89 I remember there was a TTC work to rule going on and bus were few and CROWDED. It was the 89 Weston going south. Bus stops and before I can get on, customer is calling driver names so they both get off bus. They fight and driver kicks the guys ass in no time. Guy gets up as driver is going back to bus and tries to hit him with his metal lunch pail. Driver decides it's time for round two and delivers another knockdown. This time guy doesn't say anything until driver is back on bus. And I get on thinking "this place is like the Wild West" but also mentally noting, not a good idea to lip this driver ever,LOL. At Dundas West I saw this big ape (who I still see occasionally on TTC berating this young East Indian at the McDonalds about how he should go back to where he came from, etc. This big guy is about 6'7" so he figures he can run his mouth with impunity but.... he failed to notice this black security guard see his racist tirade. The security guard was as tall but WAY bigger and more muscular. And he was pissed. Security guard get in racists face then nails him with a right hand that KO's him in one punch. Guys falls on his back and SMASHES the back of his head on the concrete. I think that he might be dead or severely injured but black guy is in such a rage that he doesn't even notice. He stands over the guy and is is screaming at the guy saying, "Say that to me fucker, say that to me" unaware that his oppenent is out cold. Anyway, I still see that big guy and he is still quite obnoxious... but after that security guard beat him up, I have never seen him say anything racist again. And as was mentioned before, I saw a guy huffing glue on the subway and he was so out of it he did not care where he was at all

Your series of posts in this thread are a perfect example of why society is so fucked up in regards to kids. And why kids are so out of control. I think that is a valid point, just because a kid deserves a beating, does not mean you should always give him one - while people are watching. If I had been the Dad, I would have restrained my son, and apologized to the victim, and left the train at the next stop. This one time I was riding the TTC at midnight. I had been out at the bars and decided to head home early since I was feeling unusually tired. There was only one other passenger - an attactive female. I struck up a conversation with her and before I knew it she was groping and fondling my cock. Next day he comes in happy as a clam - the next day when he went to the same spot he looked down and there was his Ipod - he couldn't believe it was taken by the maintenance crew - he ran up to the ticket booth just to report it so when it was picked up he could claim it. The tcket collector asked him where it was and then told him to go back down and wait.
Five minutes later an inspector shows up - waits for the next train to leave and the shuts the power down and goes and retreives the Ipod - comesback and turns the power back on! And this was in rush hour!
