The bottom line is McLaren fielded a lineup wanting nothing than 0 - 0 draw. Plus, he played a goalie with no experience at this level. His decisions were a recipe for failure. The recipe was a total success. Let's get a manager who knows how to win. Just my 2 cents worth.

Exactly!!!

Poor decisions by McLaren are a part of the problem. Go with the 4-4-2 and use the pace of Bent or Defoe. And then he decided to put in Carson?
He gives up an easy goal. Becks is benched? Get rid of this guy and do it quick!

Before your sarcasm takes over completely, may I remind you that Denmark
won the Euro title in 1992.

my thoughts exactly. Unfortunately the FA doesn't have the balls to make it happen. They'll probably sign some coach that hasn't managed a top side to manage England. Just read that Big Sam is in the running. Pathetic.

England shouldn't be in a rush to appoint a new coach.

And, to put Jose Morinho into perspective, there are Chelsea fans who claim that Claudio Ranieri achieved more with less.

Gianfranco Zola seems to think that England should hire Fabio Capello. There isn't much difference between him and Morinho except that one of them has more attitude.

Mourinho has said if he were to coach a NT it would only be Portugal, and no other country

Capello would be a good choice IMO

are these the same Chelsea fans that didn't show up to matches?

because the last time I checked, Mourinho was undefeated 99 times at home. [Not a typo!]

Capello would be a terrible choice. He's too defensive minded and he's terrible at treating players fairly. I am still bitter with his treatment of Beckham. If he showed him an ounce of respect, David Beckham would still be playing football at Real Madrid.

There are massive differences between Capello and Mourinho. First off, Mourinho has managed in England to a high level of success. He knows the players and can quickly implement a system to work. Secondly, he knows how to handle the media. Something which Capello does not do well. He buckled under the Spanish media, which pales in comparison to the English media. Third, Mourinho is a better tactician than Capello. Do you really think Mourinho would have played a friggin 451 with intent to draw? Capello I've seen play for draws. The next England manager need to:

a. Know when to tell the English media to piss off.
b. is a master tactician
c. Knows that Frank Lumptard (Lampard) and Captain Craptastic (Gerrard) should not be the central midfield partnership.

I DO NOT WANT CAPELLO as the next England Manager. He is a terrible choice.

Mourinho would take the job. He said he didn't want to manage in England as a club coach. Still think that if the FA got some sense, and presented an offer to him, he would accept.

Thats for sure, eh

LOL.......Lumptard???? :D

No denying though that Capello gets results
And Mourinho is also a defensive minded coach (although not as much as Capello)
