Plenty of responsibility on display amongst gun owners; the overwhelming majority of them don't commit crimes with them.
And if they are responsible, neither universal background checks nor red flag laws will impact them. Canada seems to be doing far better than the US when it comes to guns. Wonder if that has anything to do with our gun requirements?

Most car owners are responsible too but that doesn't stop the cops from taking the keys from drunks without a trial.

You're still on this? It's not the same thing. Let me spell it out for you; driving restrictions with regards to the misuse of alcohol, happen after the commission of an offense. Show me an instance where police have gone to someone's home to seize their vehicle to preemptively stop the potential commission of an offense and you might have a point.

I see you avoided the carding/stop-and-frisk issue like the plague.

Otherwise, it's not a "paranoid conspiracy" as you clearly want to bypass due process because of your own paranoia surrounding gun ownership.

Its a bit different because cars have a useful purpose for society, getting people places.
Not so much with guns, except maybe hunting rifles though even that is questionable these days.

You really find that funny?
It's hilarious because the regular carnage of the mostly black people who lose their lives on daily basis means nothing- can't be used to push an agenda.

Nothing is hilarious about violence. Guns should be banned totally. First step. Then free healthcare to take care of mental health and drug/alcool addicts. Then social housing. After a few years of that the country could be livable again.

You are going to get the LTBG crowd after you if you only give ice cream to people with nuts.

Why not? What I hate of people like you is that you never ever provide any hint of a solution.

It's easy to yell that our society has problem. What's hard is promoting solution.

Actually, you couldn't be more wrong. I provided THE solution many times: a constitutional amendment repealing the 2nd amendment. It's the only way. You on the other hand, are providing wishful thinking.

Hum my bad. Never read you saying 2 should be removed. As for other solution it's basically what's being done in other developed countries. Where population are not killing each other.

You can attempt whatever tickles your fancy, but as long as the 2nd is in place, nothing will happen. America is a constitutional republic and that's that. It's ALL political football, a wedge issue and nothing else.

So america will become a big Honduras or San Salvador where your life is on the line everyday. And where rich people barricade themselves. Nice society indeed...
