He'll get a board seat and be able to help make some strategic decisions. But is he going to impose some massive change? No. Why would he? He wants to have it remain a successful company, and if he mucks it up, it'll fall like Meta/Facebook. Plus, the other board members would vote against it. So, yes, he is now semi important in Twitter, but he ain't calling the shots.
Also none sense and drivel. You guys sound like you belong in the same bs echo chamber. Let’s just throw poop against the wall hoping it would stick.

Do you guys enjoy circle jerking and validating each other drivel all day long?

No point in calling the rest of them out. It never changes. Always the same. When they are wrong they just conveniently forget and move on to the next thing.

Did Musk want to buy twitter to get this kids account banned?
If it’s a privacy issue doxing or endangering his life by posting Elon’s location sure as long as this principle applies to everyone and Twitter is against any forms of doxing or breaching privacy. I thought doing this on terb in any form or attempt gets you perma ban. Why the double standards now? This is a good thing.

Is it doxing to say what airport Musk's plane has landed at?
The kid is tracking his plane, not Musk.

Isn't it just free speech?
Are you against some forms of free speech?

Why don’t you say the same thing about terb and their tos. I am fine abiding by them.

I don’t care about your version of free speech or what people think it should be.

I look forward to see what Jack and him do with it. If I don’t like I will just go somewhere else. Simple as day.

Right now it is my main source of information. If they fail like most of the msn will just go somewhere else.

How hard is it to understand if people don’t like what he does they will leave to somewhere else.

I was right at that point. He was set to get a board seat. Then he backed out, and a few days later he decided to buy the whole thing.

And, the more I think about it, Musk probably ain't doing a heck of a lot different with Twitter, because he cannot afford too. He's financing the bulk of the deal, which means he'll be paying about $1B a year (or more) just on interest, not principal. Consider that the company made $273M in profit for the entire year in 2021...So, he might loosen up some of the moderation, but Twitter makes its money via advertising. If it becomes a cesspool of white supremacy and bigotry, which advertisers will want to be attached to that shit show? So, that's my bold prediction: Musk won't move the needle significantly. Sure, some things might change, but not enough to offend advertisers or the bulk of users.

Let me remind you that good old Elon promised to fix Flint, MI, lead water pipe problem....and only ended up donating water filtration systems to 12 schools or something like that. He talks a big game but doesn't necessarily have the follow through.

Finally, just because the Twitter board decides to go ahead with the deal, shareholders still have a say. And Musk, now that he can scope out the books, he could back away just as quickly as he came sniffing.

So, |2 /-\ | /|/, what do you think will happen? Dazzle us with your keen insight into business and how things will go if this deal is completed? I'm sure we are all waiting on bated breath to learn from your business acumen.

You do realize that Jack is basically done with Twitter, right? I mean, he stepped down as CEO and is vacating his board seat very soon.

As for tracking Musk's plane, it is within the TOS, so no problem. In fact, we can all track his plane. There are several websites that do this, it is not doxxing.

And if Twitter is your main source of info, might I suggest you try Truth Social? I mean, on Twitter, you might accidentally hear the accurate reporting, and I'm not sure you could handle that.

Jack is still involved and will get even more involved indirectly. He’s even posted a very detailed explanation how to open source Twitter algos and the like within the past few months.

If they release private information such as plane landing that could endanger his life or anyone else’s I fully support this being blocked. What don’t you understand about it being a private company now. He is not a public figure and can do what he wants.

However he decided to turn into a free speech company following countries laws and international standards.

If he says these things but does something else it will quickly backfire and people will leave to another service. He will loose billions and market will decide.

How hard is it to understand these basic principles?

There are many other services that do what Twitter does. Why not start one your self then if you have so many fears about it atm.

OK, there is a possibility Jack could return to the fold, but he's obsessed with bitcoin right now. But, sure, anything is possible.

Wait — you're saying Musk is not a a public figure????That is....well...ignorant? And, as for the plane, flight details are not private. Every aircraft needs to have a transponder and they need to file flight plans. Anyone can get access to that information, and saying it puts people in danger is possibly true, but not the fault of the kid running that Twitter account.

And, I agree with the part of him doing stupid shit. People and advertisers will leave. That's why I don't think we will see a major change to Twitter's terms of service. They will still moderate stuff because who wants child porn and what not on these sites?

Finally, who said I'm afraid of Musk taking over Twitter? I certainly am not scared about it. And why would i start my own service after seeing how great Parler, Gettr and Truth Social have done....

Like I said full of drivel and nonsense like most of your posts.
Will totally admit I was wrong about him not walking away after the 9.2 thing.
Still don't think the actual Twitter experience changes much even if this sale goes through.
