But how would you know the added 20 million were of more (or less) criminal character??If you add 20 million to the divisor the rate only gets lower
You are missing a variable in your made-up equation, fuji
But how would you know the added 20 million were of more (or less) criminal character??If you add 20 million to the divisor the rate only gets lower
Because none of them are in prison. But how would you know the added 20 million were of more (or less) criminal character??
You're making an assumption since they havent been added to the official stats yet.Because none of them are in prison
Sky is not always blue, Earth is more of an Ellipsoid. Trump might be a complete A-hole, but he is far from the classical definition of a fascist. Is the sky blue? is the earth round?
Hopefully we never find out for real.Sky is not always blue, Earth is more of an Ellipsoid. Trump might be a complete A-hole, but he is far from the classical definition of a fascist.
Hopefully not, but the reality is that he can't really do that much damage if he does get into office.Hopefully we never find out for real.
So you like the current border policy which allows people who have been deported multiple times to re enter? Like the thug who killed Kate Steinle in SF. Shameful.I support the current border policy which is not an open border policy. I don't support some boondoggle expansion of the border controls that will eat up lots of my taxes and return no benefit at all.
I've stated clearly how to solve this problem: Make it a felony to knowingly hire an illegal worker. That will end the problem in a heartbeat.
So, now it's your turn -- do you support criminalizing those in the United States who are responsible for all the illegal immigration, namely, those who employ them?
I'm making no assumption at all: they aren't in prison. The number in prison, the numerator, is known absolutely. The only thing being estimated is the denominator. If you think the denominator is larger than expected then the rate is lower than the studies say it is.You're making an assumption since they havent been added to the official stats yet.
You suck at statistics, fuji. Among the many things you suck at
Fix that instead of spending my taxes on a useless boondoggle wall. The problem with this - it's not enforced. Just like the immigration laws that are on the books.
Yes you areI'm making no assumption at all
No, its not. You have no way of knowing what percentage of that 20 million are criminals, and which arentThe number in prison, the numerator, is known absolutely
Citation of study neededThe only thing being estimated is the denominator. If you think the denominator is larger than expected then the rate is lower than the studies say it is
And I'm sorry you're struggling with facts. Although I'm not very surprisedI'm sorry but you are simply struggling with fractions here
That doesnt take into account illegals who have assumed US identity through fraudulent meansAgain, you are just failing at fractions. The number who were imprisoned is very well known: exactly known. The only thing that is being estimated is the size of the population from which those in prison come from.

Key quotes:
"while the illegal immigrant population in the U.S. more than tripled between 1990 and 2013 to more than 11.2 million, “FBI data indicate that the violent crime rate declined 48%"
And the kicker:
“The incarceration rate for foreign-born adults is 297 per 100,000 in the population, compared [with] 813 per 100,000 for U.S.-born adults,”
If you think they underestimated the denominator...
Interesting stat, would be good to see that number by country of birth. And the kicker:
“The incarceration rate for foreign-born adults is 297 per 100,000 in the population, compared [with] 813 per 100,000 for U.S.-born adults,”
...
Yes it did. You might be able to use a borrowed social to fool an employer who doesn't everify carefully, but you aren't going through the whole court and prison system without your actual status being determined. That doesnt take into account illegals who have assumed US identity through fraudulent means
The article also included this quote:Interesting stat, would be good to see that number by country of birth.
Actually, you are. I saw a whole Dateline episode on this. What they do is acquire ID from a dead person, they then reapply for a SS# and go through the whole getting a drivers license part....etc. By the time they are done they are just like any other American citizen and nobody knows the difference.Yes it did. You might be able to use a borrowed social to fool an employer who doesn't everify carefully, but you aren't going through the whole court and prison system without your actual status being determined
And you think 20 million have managed to fool the US courts and police by doing this??????Actually, you are. I saw a whole Dateline episode on this. They're inside the country long-term, arent they??And you think 20 million have managed to fool the US courts and police by doing this??????
Absurd.
I agree that needs to be fixed but the border needs to be secured. If that takes a wall to be built in certain places so be it. Walls work, case in point Israel/West Bank.Fix that instead of spending my taxes on a useless boondoggle wall.
