This was a few years ago but I understand its still current.

Hamas shaves heads of long-haired Gaza youths
Islamist rulers crack down on behavior deemed inappropriate; rights groups outraged

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Police in Hamas-ruled Gaza have started grabbing young men with long or gel-styled spiky hair off the streets, bundling them into jeeps, mocking them and shaving their heads, two of those targeted and a rights group said Sunday.

It is the latest sign that the Islamic militants are imposing their strict practices on the population.

Hamas has been slowly forcing its fundamentalist interpretation of the religion on already conservative Gaza since it overran the territory in 2007, but the new crackdown on long hair and tight or low-waist pants — in several cases accompanied by beatings — appears to be one of the most aggressive phases of the campaign so far.

The crackdown began last week, and two of those targeted told The Associated Press said they were rounded up in separate sweeps in Gaza City that included more than two dozen young men.

2009? You need to get out of your basement.

Considering what they're doing and that Palestinians were not been able to vote a government, do you have any evidence that it has changed? They're a Islamic dictatorship, nothing has changed and you support them because you hate the Jews more than you hate Islamic terrorists and your posts support that.

Do I have evidence that it has changed? Give your head a shake….thats on you. This is your assertion. The fact that you had to rely on news stories a decade and older should answer your question.

Palestinians have not been able to vote since the day they were militarily occupied by Israel. Israel occupies them without their consent.
If you believe in democracy, you’d call for an election where Palestinians vote on whether they want to be occupied. But we both know you don’t really care about democracy.

Well as they don't consider themselves citizens of Israel and in fact voted in a parallel government I think at best you can call this a civil war, with Hamas in the role of traitors/seperatists. Basically they are the South in USA terms. Thats generous btw I consider them fanatical cultists to a medievil warlord, atkin to Charles Manson.

At least the outcome is going to be the same for them.

Not blaming the victims but can someone explain:

1) Why was that music festival held so close to the border (only 3 miles)?

2) Why didn't they have armed guards?

My prediction how the current crisis will end:

Israel will invade northern Gaza and carry out a mission of trying to kill as many members of Hamas as possible, plus free hostages.

At some point, before very long, and after much loss of life on both sides and property destruction, Israel's allies, mainly the USA, will say "enough", and force Israel to retreat, or possibly negotiate a cease-fire, as has been done in the past.

Hamas will remain in power in Gaza for the foreseeable future

Netanyahu will remain in power in Israel for several years at least, with the Israelis seeing him as a war-time leader even after the active fighting has ceased.

If Hamas attacks again Israel will be better prepared, with swifter retaliation.

After the current hostilities settle down, hopefully the US can get the Saudis and other parties back to the table in an effort to actually begin a process that will lead to a mutually acceptable and peaceful 2-state solution, but that won't happen any time soon.

Leftist David Pakman calls Hamas a terrorist organization and his followers are pissed off, lol.

Personally I like Pakman's content. He gives those with opposing points of view a platform for respectful debate.

Israel won't invade Gaza, they've been holding off because of massive storms and flood. And now Biden says no. If Netanyahu does invade it'll be a massive catastrophe for all involved, with tens of thousands of deaths and will hasten the decline of Israel's standing.

Israel has already killed more Palestinians than they did in 2014 and most of the bodies have yet to be recovered or counted in Gaza. The pro Palestinian protests this round have been much faster and much bigger. BLM backs PLM and nobody backs apartheid.

44% of US dems already say Israel is apartheid. Biden can't hold the party if he doesn't start doing something positive on this issue.

Netanyahu will lead an ever more extremist government who will enable more and more settler terrorism. Abbas will do nothing and nobody will notice or care. Hamas' support will likely be split between those that back them and those that are sick of the bombs. But they also know nobody else stands up for them.

8 days no food, no water, no electricity. When the power goes back on the photos and videos will come out.

Will things change?
The pro Israeli crowd lost all moral ground. Here on this board they've been backing genocide. You, thankfully, haven't.
Hamas will have lost support but I expect not as much as Israel.
So Israel slips two steps further down the BDS, anti apartheid road.
The question is how much longer can wester politicians afford to back apartheid when it goes genocidal.

As I have repeatedly said - yes I back killing terrorists. Whatever be their nationality. And yeah Al-Jazeera the anti-western, anti-Indian and anti-Israeli publication will say all kinds of nonsense if it suits them.
So when 800 settelers stormed the Al Aqas mosque, would you say it would be ok to kill all of them?

Someone here explained that they did not storm anything and that it was apparently allowed per the law. I am yet to find that post. So I dont think any resulting violence falls under the terrorism category. However, there were other settler violences that have resulted in needless deaths. Those are definitely terrorist attacks and yes, I support putting one right between the eyes for those assholes too.

I think this seem farily impartial https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023...al-aqsa-mosque-complex-on-fifth-day-of-sukkot

Yeah and the US has 2 aircraft carrier groups in the region, which I am sure the Hezbollah give 4 hoots about.
I don't think those will be effective against Hezbollah. Even Israel uses stand off missiles when they attack Hezbollah in Syria

Huwara is a better example.
I assume you'd support assassinating the 100's of terrorist settlers who attacked the village?
(I wouldn't, take them to the Hague as well)

Since only material property was damaged, I wouldn't suggest killing them.

However in this case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidnapping_and_murder_of_Mohammed_Abu_Khdeir - I would definitely support killing the terrorists.
You are really messed up. The pretzel twisting your mind follows to justify your position is just hard to follow.
Its so much easier to say there are laws, just hold everybody to the laws.

How do you morally justify killing so many civilians and now depriving them of food, water and power?

The situation in Gaza gets more dire every day.

Anyway. The IDF spokesman CNN is interviewing every 5 minutes is so full of shit I don't know how he keeps a straight face. When asked about the hostages yesterday he spoke as if they were the priority and they would make sure they were all returned home as quickly as possible. And we will all eat ice cream and have a good laugh once they are back I suppose.
Also. Frankly, no pun intended, although revenge was justified, the shit Israel is doing right now isn't really justifiable. Any hope of resolve is now gone forever on both sides. Occupying Gaza once again is a mistake as Joe Biden pointed out. Who will be in charge if Israel manages to catch and kill every Hamas member including the new recruits just coming into puberty? Palestinian civilians are paying the price for this criminal mismanagement on both sides.
Weren't we meant to have established a United Nations Assembly to kind of prevent this shit from ever happening? This is way out of control and beyond any kind of salvation.
