Joe Bowen is a national treasure, he's 74 now. May he keep his timbre well into the next decade.
Unlike in previous seasons where Leafs were locked into 3rd place by mid season nothing to play for but hitting 70 goals and 100 pts. Don't think playing somewhat meaningful games down the stretch can hurt. Other than injuries but it looks like Leafs have dodged anything significant. Expect all hands on deck to start the playoffs. The only concern is going 0 and 3 by a combined score of 9 to 3 against Ottawa but the playoffs start at 0 and 0.I hope that translates into playoff success.

sanderson-young, inexperienced gonna shit his pantsAs a Sens fan I would caution Toronto that Ottawa shouldn't be looked over.
Sanderson and Chabot are two top offensive Dmen that can really move the puck..If you're not on them they gain a lot of speed through the neutral zone and make it very difficult to defend.
The team is well rested and healthy...They didn't have to fight tooth and nail for a playoff spot.
Ullmark will have to bring his A game but he does have the pedigree. This is what the Sens gave him that big contract for. Time to earn his keep.
As long as the ghost of Curtis Joseph is no where in building I feel the Sens should take this one in 6
You better prepare yourself for disappointment...they're not gonna fire Shanahan, Treliving or Berube...Matthews, Nylander, Reilly all have 3 years each remaining on contracts...and with cap space getting bigger don't be surprised if native GTA players Tavares and Marner re-sign.I don’t know who’s going to win but I know if the Leafs lose, it’s going to be a fun summer watching all the major changes this team makes, from the president to the core. This core of Matthews/Marner/Nylander/Tavares/Rielly have no more excuses. They have much better goaltending/defence/size/grit than they ever had before and more playoff (bitter nonetheless) experience, than the Sens, and if they still get knocked out in the first round then they deserve whatever’s coming their way.
You have made zero valid points...sanderson-young, inexperienced gonna shit his pants
chabot- soft french canadian d-man who wants zero smoke
ullmark-consistent playoff choker
brady-too banged up
stutzle- too small and doesn't like playoff physicality
cozens- not enough big game experience
giroux-he's old and toast
travis green- always has the keys to decent cars but cant make it on the autobahn
gens, pens, hens, zens, kens, Sens----Leafs in 5.
Wooh, Sens in 6, pretty ballsy pick...not my pick but I agree that the Senators do have some good things going for them...you better hope the ghost of Patrick Lalime isn't in the building. As a Sens fan I would caution Toronto that Ottawa shouldn't be looked over.

You’re right about Matthews, Nylander and Rielly staying even if they lose the first round series as they have no trade protection, possibly Treliving and Berube too, but I can’t see Shanahan, Marner and Tavares are all brought back. If Shanahan is staying regardless then they would have extended his contract already. You better prepare yourself for disappointment...they're not gonna fire Shanahan, Treliving or Berube...Matthews, Nylander, Reilly all have 3 years each remaining on contracts...and with cap space getting bigger don't be surprised if native GTA players Tavares and Marner re-sign.
Remember what ALI used to say.... Stay off the dopeThe Leafs getting 2 points tonight could come in handy if they face Dallas in the finals, Leafs would get home ice advantage.
Ottawa will give leafs ALL they can handle!! i think Dylan Cuzins could be a thorn in leafs side along with Brady. would love to see # 88 get rocked with a big hit.As a Sens fan I would caution Toronto that Ottawa shouldn't be looked over.

From a Sens perspective. They have shown this year they can play excellent for about 3 or 4 games then seem to drop back down to mediocrity for about the same. So I'd expect the same in this series. Linus Ullmark is their wildcard but he's been an enigma this year. Of all the teams for Ottawa to play though I feel they have their best chance against the Leafs.Ottawa will give leafs ALL they can handle!! i think Dylan Cuzins could be a thorn in leafs side along with Brady. would love to see # 88 get rocked with a big hit.
