Have a question for the group.
I have a medical condition and the only drug my Dr. and Cardiologist agree I should take for ED is Tadalafil - 10 mg
It works great but I get the worse acid reflux for days after taking
My dr. recommended tums as I can't take antacid with my other med but does anyone else have any recommendation or have the same problem?

When I used to use Cialis I would take a regular strength Pepcid AC (10 mg famotidine) pill later in the day, but certainly before bed time. However that is an anti-acid medication so probably not appropriate for you.

As far as I know Tums is just a calcium tablet without actual medication. Too much calcium isn't that great for you either, so try to take as little as possible, and only if you feel the acid reflux symptoms.

Also avoid carbonated drinks and spicy foods as that worsens acid reflux.

Been there too. Talk to your doctor and ask if there's anything besides Tums you can take or if there's a stronger scripted version available, as long as it doesn't compromise your medical condition.

Dry crackers could offer some relief. Sky Flakes are among my favourites.

The side effects are similar for all ED meds. Everyone adapts differently to the side effects and usually at its worst when you start using them. With time, the side effects should reduce, some more quickly than others. I will suggest taking the tadalafil just after you eat because that may help temper the acid reflux vs taking it on an empty stomach. Of course that means it may take longer to "kick in" but may help reduce your acid reflux issue.

Don’t know your medical situation or why cialis is the only one they recommend, (doesn’t make a lot of sense to me as a non expert as they all work the same way and all have similar side effects) but keep in mind that cialis is fairly long acting, so you may have less heartburn taking a ED med that wears off more quickly.

Just guessing here but maybe its a blood pressure issue.

Cialis will lower your blood pressure, but not as much as Viagra in the short term.

If a person is already on high blood pressure meds, too much Cialis or even low dose Viagra may drop his blood pressure too low

From the interwebs:

If you suffer from high blood pressure, you know how important it is to manage your condition carefully. One of the challenges of high blood pressure is finding the right medications and supplements that won't interfere with your blood pressure medication. Antacids are a common over-the-counter medication that many people take to relieve heartburn and acid reflux. But which antacids are safe for high blood pressure patients? In this guide, we'll explore the best antacids for high blood pressure patients and how to choose the right one for you.

Why Antacids Can Be Tricky for High Blood Pressure Patients
Antacids work by neutralizing stomach acid, which can help relieve heartburn and acid reflux. However, some antacids contain high levels of sodium, which can be problematic for high blood pressure patients. Sodium can cause your body to retain water, which can increase blood pressure. Additionally, some antacids can interact with blood pressure medications, making them less effective or causing unwanted side effects.

Also from the internet.

Calcium carbonate is sodium free, so that's why Tums are a safer option to control acid reflux in high blood pressure situations.

I have no idea but can you take milk of magnesia?
Sodium free. Main ingredient is magnesium hydroxide. The internet says might be ok in a high blood pressure situation, but can cause diarrhea.

Aluminum hydroxide also might be ok, but can cause constipation.

Sounds like Tums is the least complicated option.
