Medical question about ED Med

Have a question for the group.
I have a medical condition and the only drug my Dr. and Cardiologist agree I should take for ED is Tadalafil - 10 mg
It works great but I get the worse acid reflux for days after taking
My dr. recommended tums as I can't take antacid with my other med but does anyone else have any recommendation or have the same problem?

When I used to use Cialis I would take a regular strength Pepcid AC (10 mg famotidine) pill later in the day, but certainly before bed time. However that is an anti-acid medication so probably not appropriate for you.

As far as I know Tums is just a calcium tablet without actual medication. Too much calcium isn't that great for you either, so try to take as little as possible, and only if you feel the acid reflux symptoms.

Also avoid carbonated drinks and spicy foods as that worsens acid reflux.

Been there too. Talk to your doctor and ask if there's anything besides Tums you can take or if there's a stronger scripted version available, as long as it doesn't compromise your medical condition.

Dry crackers could offer some relief. Sky Flakes are among my favourites.

The side effects are similar for all ED meds. Everyone adapts differently to the side effects and usually at its worst when you start using them. With time, the side effects should reduce, some more quickly than others. I will suggest taking the tadalafil just after you eat because that may help temper the acid reflux vs taking it on an empty stomach. Of course that means it may take longer to "kick in" but may help reduce your acid reflux issue.
