He did a livestream interview while on the run. Kid has no functioning brain. It was a car jacking gone wrong.
He's 14 so he'll probably do 2 years in juvie. SMH, the laws need to change.

He should be arrested, sentenced and rehabilitation should be attempted during the time he serves.
He is most likely involved in gang activities and I wouldn't be surprised if this killing was some sort of gang initiation thing.

They released his name, which is rare for young offenders, but in your mind, it's low on the police's list of priorities. Hmmm, yeah, OKAY LOLAfter following the fall out from this situation over the last 24 hours it has now become abundantly clear to me that the entire reason he did this was for the notoriety and he is reveling in the attention. He is also well aware of his age and the fact that he is looking at a slap on the wrist. At the end of the day this guy killed that woman for internet clout. This is literal madness as far as I'm concerned and by the looks of things he is a low priority to police. At least they raided a house looking for the white kid from Hamilton. This kid is riding public transit, doing interviews and enjoying the lime light. Oh Canada

Let's see. He was arrested Friday, charged with 2nd degree murder, appears in court tomorrow. We might not know what happens, because he’s a youth and it is no longer legal to say his name after his arrest according to TPS. He’s looking at 7 yrs for 2nd degree under the YOA. I'll keep you posted on Bail.

his identity is protected by the Youth Offenders Act...a law that imo has seen better days and should be changed...so i dont think his mother is about to go in front of the TV cameras..

Have you seen the videos released of him? What makes you think that this kid has a mother or father in his life that cares about him? I’m not defending his crash out behaviour but from the videos of him being bullied prior to stabbing the lady it’s no wonder how he ended up this way.
I was out with a few friends on Friday when we heard about this.
Our group is mixed ethnicities, no one is white.
I joked "I bet it's the new rich immigrants from India and they can bail the kid out."
Indian friend "god damn they giving us a bad name."
Asian friend, "guys....it's worse, it's the stereotype."
Guyanese friend "well, at least there's probably no bail, our stereotype exists for a reason."

Yeah some of these kids have such troubled childhoods they become violent, which is why I believe some rehabilitation should be attempted.
I could be wrong of course but I think he is too young to be cast aside as a psychopath for life.
Reminds me of this case in the UK, which I believe is much, much worse than what happened here, and they still attempted rehabilitation.
In this case they failed with one suspect, but the other has had no incidents after his time served.
