Rebuttal from ESPN? I was wondering that myself. I looked at their website the other day but did not see anything. Does not help either that to a lot of their more indepth articles you have to pay.

Sending Hoffa down to the D-league is a good idea. He has stints in which he plays decent. Against Miami he held his own against Mourning. On the road he has had some flashes but needs to gain confidence. And could maybe carry that into the ACC. They could bring in Aaron Williams (he could be traded any day now but what would you get back for him) more to take those minutes allocated to Hoffa and send Hoffa down. I would not mind seeing that. Maybe bring Pape Sow back in a month or two after he has got more playing time under his belt although if they do bring him back they have to give him some important playing minutes. No use sitting him on the bench.

I agree. Graham needs time as all their young guys do. Graham can be a solid defender, rebounder and even scorer in the future. Like to see him drive more which could open up outside shots for him. Yes Charlie V needs to work on his defense including his rebounding on that end. He certainly has shown he is a good rebounder on the offensive end. It starts with getting position and boxing out.

Considering their record especially at home they still get decent fan support. They are somewhere in the middle of the league. There are teams with way better records with less support. And because fans are hungry for more home wins the ACC can get loud when the Raps are in a position to win. I was at the Miami game and it was rocking. When the Raps are working hard the fans love them. Unfortunately there have been stints this year where they have not played the full 48 minutes but 45 minutes and that has cost them several wins.
Well said!

Something to be said about great players....

It seems to me that what the team needs is "psychological help"....I'm not saying it in a bad way:

They are definitely headed in the right direction, trying to sign good "quality people", because you need a healthy enviroment to grow young players and increase their confidence.

Moreso, I've seen it over and over that players need to be more aggressive in everything they do....I strongly believe that some players "pretend to play" while on the court....they pop into the key and put up a hand, but even that needs to be done aggressively. They have to make themselves a BIG TARGET AND ACTUALLY WANT THE BALL.......

the same is to be said for rebounding..............Rebounders need to make "moves to the basket".........it makes no sense to be constantly positioned behind your opponent on the offensive end, or behind your man on the defensive end........they have to crash the basket.........someone has to "drive" them....instead they hide within the play.

cancer

To me guys like Lamond,Vince and at times last year Eric Williams(mind you he seems a lot better this year) are cancers in a locker room. At times I wish more of the players handled themselves like Alvin did/does.

The salesman at the sports store i went to last night tried to sell me a Vince Carter raptors jersey, I told him he would have to pay me to take it.

Raptors win and look...

Bosh takes 21 shot attempts....and Charlie V adds another 13 shot attempts

If these two guys continue to get over 30 shot attempts per game Raptors will win quite a few more.....why you say:

Cause with their 34 shot attempts: Bosh is 10 for 13 from the line an Charlie V. is 4 for 4..

I have to add that Joey Graham played aggressive and Mike James played another solid game.

Bosh was amazing tonight, man is he quick for a tall guy, no one could play any D on him tonight. He just seems to be getting better all the time. It was a real joy to seem him play tonight.

I predict he'll be on the US team, and at the allstar game. :)

I think he's referring to...

some Shaq/Duncan-like presence down low.....unfortunately its very hard to come by...and the RAps get beat down low by anyone with a semblance of it.(actually we did have some old tired thing that looked like a Dream-Shake awhile back)

I think the Raptors can do without when Bosh and Villanueva get more time on the floor together....there has already been flashes of greatness between them. It might become amazing to see and could be the main reason Bosh decides to stay in a couple of years.

From the Toronto Sun:

"Bosh saved his best for last, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter after coach Sam Mitchell told him at halftime to be aggressive instead of settling for jump shots.

The Raptors scored, either a basket or a free throw, on each of their final 13 possessions. Two of those key baskets came on passes from Bosh to Morris Peterson and Charlie Villanueva."

How often aRe the Raptors successful jacking it up in the last quarter?????

But in this game they scored "either a basket or a free throw, on each of their final 13 possessions".........EVERY ONE OF THEIR FINAL 13 POSSESSIONS!!!!!

My hope is that if Bosh decides to leave I hope he has the decency to let management know so that they can trade him and get something of fair market value in return. Let's hope it doesn't become a Vince or T-Mac situation.

If Bosh and Charlie V

are the next twin towers......then Toronto will have Championship rings before Bosh has a chance to leave!

Its a bit of a stretch though.

Just checked the Rimrockers roster...

Pape Sow is by far leading the team in all categories.......he's dominating on the boards, points, and blocked shots....

Has anyone watched an NBDL game...is the game any good......is the league as good as the other minor league???can't remember the name.

The NBADL games are occasionally broadcasted on Raptors TV. You can catch them here and there, usually in the middle of the day.

He needs to work hard on his dribbling and passing skills to be as good as Garnett. Garnett is also 7'1 now whereas I think Bosh has grown to be 6'11. Bosh's game is somewhere between Garnett and Duncan. :D
i agree with the dribbling...but and as for height.
hes only 19
could be growing still COULD be....Garnett isnt doing as well as i want him to be..

last couple of games he hast had double doubles..just short of
couple of rebounds..but still

I believe in the raptors though

It's about time that Bosh shows what he's made of! The team has been very patient with him.

I think BOSH has been patient with the team. The way the Raps are playing, I'm curious as to why there hasn't been any criticism from the players. Maybe Sam Mitchell has a hold on this group of players.

I'm dreading the day that Bosh's contact expires and he bolts for the US. Phil Jackson didn't help with his comments. The Raptors are going to need to give Bosh the max on his next contract. Beaucoup $$$.
