1992 ALCS, Jays beat A's in 6 games, 1992 WS, Jays beat Braves in 6 games
1993 ALCS, Jays beat Chisox in 6 games, 1993 WS, Jays beat Phillies in 6 games
Will history repeat itself, 2025 WS Jays over Dodgers in 6 games?

The real reason for the Jays success is their assistant batting coach. She stands there while they practice and they have to concentrate while they pitch inside. If you don't concentrate, you get hit by a 90+ mile an hour fastball. They developed a very successful low strikeout high ball in play style of play 03.jpg

Not a word of congrats here for Schneider??? The pissing on him would still be ongoing if Jays had lost.

So congratulations Schneider. You gutsy you. 👏 👏 👏
Schneider has a thankless job. He can't win. He'll get criticism if he leaves the pitcher in and he gives up the big hit. Same thing if he pulls the pitcher and the reliever ends up blowing it. Congrats to him for a great year.

Can't rank Springer's Dinger just yet, it doesn't mean anything unless they win the WS

#1 Roberto Alomar off Eckersley to ties the game and win it in extras (he was unhittable back then, lights out, absolute Jay killer in years past) gave Jays confidence to beat the A's to make it to WS against Atlanta
#2 Ed Sprague's dinger in game 2 to beat Atlanta, thus nullifying their home field advantage >>Jays win WS, Joe Carter was a free agent at end of '92, wasn't sure he'd come back to Jays for'93 during the season, winning the 92 WS gave him the desire to come back with the team,
#3 Joe Carter's walk off HR to win WS in '93

Fair enough, but Schneider's decision to put in Brendon Little in game 5 in Seattle, was a total disaster. That decision made absolutely no sense. Just like Wilson, should have let Kirby pitch at least five innings last night, as he was mowing the Jays down. Then Wilson should have let Woo pitch to Springer again (as Woo struck out Springer the first time), rather then put Bazardo in to pitch to Springer. I'm actually so glad that Wilson did that, as thanks to Bazardo, the jays are in the world series.

Blue Jays lineup on Friday: (I hope)
1. George Springer RF
2. Nathan Lukes LF
3. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B
4. Bo Bichette DH
5. Alejandro Kirk C
6. Daulton Varsho CF
7. Addison Barger 3B
8. Ernie Clement 2B
9. Andres Gimenez SS

i wonder if springer can pay outfield every game

play that one by ear

springer or bo as DH?

hard call

but

you will have an elite PH, which will play on the nerves of a dave roberts making a move to pull a pitcher or not

so keeping springer as PH has benefits if you need to rest him. Instead of pulling him for defence, he is staring down
Roberts while sitting on the bench, so I say Bo becomes permanent DH

putting Bo behind Vlad instead of Kirk forces Roberts to pitch to Vlad so they do not risk walking him as Vlad has stopped chasing bad pitches

LOTS OF STUFF TO KEEP SCHNEIDER UP AT NIGHT

they need to have a split squad 5 inning game this week

test out Bo and stretch out Bassitt

put Bo in to bat a cuple ot times each inning with no running bases

Jays have home field to start and Dodgers are rusty

Usually rest is more important than rust but we got 5 days off so it's an advantage to us

esp as dogers have to play here while shaking off rust

Dodgers have not seen Trey and the first time around Trey ties batters up first time

and Guassman is pitching like an ace, so we got 2 aces when we had none a month ago

along with an ace in the pen with Hoffman

Beiber is number 3 but who is number four?

Either Bassiit or Scherzer will deepen the pen

Don Mattingly is headed to the World Series for the first time in his MLB career.

Mattingly never made the World Series with the Yankees as a player (1982-1995) nor as a coach (2004-2007).

He also never made the World Series when he coached or managed with the Dodgers or Marlins.

Second best 1st baseman to ever play in the history of the New York Yankees...We all hold him high regard.
