What is the most scariest movie you have ever watched?

Jade4u

It's been good to know ya
I have not watched a truly scary movie in ages, maybe I am older and they are not having the same impact on me or they do not make them as scary as they used to, That and I do not watch too many really scary movies with the boys around. Tonight however I would like to go to channel 100 and order myself a treat after everyone is in bed. :D

I liked signs with mel gibson, right up until they showed the alien.
Saloms Lot was a good one as well.

The Sentinel, I think? Its low key but if its the one I'm thinking of its about blind people guarding the gates of hell. Its more the type of movie that scares you slowly and afterwards, than the SHOCK IN YOUR FACE JUMP OUT OF YOUR SEAT type of film. I am most scared by one like that, that make you think something could truly be out there, than the shocker ones. Amityville Horror, I think, combines the two genres quite well.

edit. Also - Love, Actually. What the hell is wrong with women?

The Ring scared the crap out of me!!!! Every time the television goes snowy, the hair on the back of my neck stands up!

I love horror and nothing usually scares me...so when a movie does scare me, its good!

The Descent is my favourite horror....I actually had to turn the lights on half way through the movie cos I couldn't watch it in the dark anymore! Real good quality.

If you want something a bit more "entertaining" and less "horror" watch Cloverfield, which I really enjoyed this year. Not many jumps or shocks, but a quality bit of film-making.

The best horror these days is all Asian, so the originals of The Eye or Dark Water are MUCH better than the American copies.

Enjoy and don't get too scared :D

Play Misty for Me with Clint Eastwood - after the movie,as a teenager had to walk home about 4 miles around midnight
Boy does this bring back memories. I didn't have to walk home, but my date for the evening was less than impressed when i yelled "look out Clint!" at the pinnacle of the movie.

Needless to say it was the last date.

"Ju-on". it's the original (japanese) version of the grudge. a lot scarier than the grudge, and i would say scarier than the exorcist, ring, and other classic horrors.

halloween (the original) is also pretty terrifying.

Bad Memories

Hands down, no question: "The Sound of Music".

Imagine, the first line in the film is..... "The Hills are Alive".

Just thinking about it now makes my asshole pucker right up with fear.

Hey, let's make a musical about the Holocaust. Why hasn't someone done it sooner? We'll scare the shit out of everyone! EVERYONE!!!

Aughhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the original The Fog (not the 2005 bullshit-remake) ranks right-up there. Aside from the supernatural elements, the movie drips sheer atmosphere. I actually prefer this movie to John Carpenter's other movies (yes, including Halloween).

The first 5 F13s deserves a nod, partially due to their raw production-styles and plausiblity.

For a more modern piece, I also enjoy the Ninth Gate a fair bit.
