Debt debt debt...... I'm no spring chicken any more. I've heard them cry wolf about the debt for 40 years. It's a tool they use to take services and civilization away from the folks and give it to the folks at the top. Reagan screamed about the debt and he fucked up the US. Thatcher and the Bushes screamed about it too and the y fucked up their countries. My friends from Germany Scandinavia and China rave about the infrastructure their countries have built. Those r the countries we must strive to be like. They have a half century of success under their belt.

Cry Wolf ??

Talk about having your head buried in the sand

Do you know what our debt to GDP ratio is?
I bet you do not understand what it means, if you did you would stop fooling yourself

The numbers do not lie
Unless this debt issue is addressed now, we are going to have a real nasty interest payment problem when rates go up .
What is an extra 2% on $288 B ? = $5.8 B- Gee that sounds live half a subway line- Poof gone in one year & every year afterwards
& you complain about a lack of infrastructure ????
That interest rate increase will be followed by a huge increase in Health Care costs as Baby Boomers move into retirement
How many extra doctors would $5.8 B pay for ? Every year
You say you are no spring chicken, lets hope your doc does not get squeezed out in 5-7 years because the debt issue was not addressed

It is not Cry Wolf, it is a mathematical certainty

IMO Hudak is the lesser evil. None of the leaders impress. Wynne ain't any different from that piece of garbage McGuinty, and Horwath is just a misguided liberal. Ontario needs a change!

How old are you. John larue?
And r u a history buff by any chance?
My age is my business
I do enjoy history
Are you going point out countries which faced huge debt & the sky has not fallen for them?

Countries manage debt far better through monetary policy
Ontario does not have that option
Ontario's debt is a problem which must be addressed & is the single most important issue of this election

You are ignoring the numbers, at your peril

Why would you trust someone who started cooking the numbers just to get in power?
Have we learned nothing from the Ford crackdom?

Would you re-elect someone that wasted over a billion dollars to save their asses so they might stay in power?
Ford does not effect me, I am not a Torontonian.

the election voting cards are not in the mail yet!
Got mine the other day...

Edit: I am a social democrat / democratic socialist / leftist and am pretty grumpy with Horwath. Very grumpy with Horwath. Since I'm in a Liberal stronghold I'll probably vote NDP just to keep their % up (since the PCs stand no chance here) but I hope their is a palace coup in the NDP after this election is done.

The days of Jack Kennedy are over. Now it's choosing the lesser of evils OR kick out the incumbent if they've not improved things, lost confidence, or wasting our money.
i dont think you have to go that far in history, or leave the province for that matter........im a life long NDP voter....and im old enough to remember Premier Bill Davis a Conservative, who was immensly better than any of the humps running now, both he and his predessesor john Robarts, cooperated with opposition parties, were decent people, who actually believe in the goodness of public service...........but things have changed, and i will leave it to smarter folks than me to figure out why. in the past 30 years.our society has become more mean spirited, less inclusive, and "whats in it for me".............we have become customers and tax payers instead of citizens and we get dogs like Harper,Harris, Hudak and Ford..do they mirror society?.....ironically pro sports seem to be the only mayor institution that places team work and cooperation, above individualism...the Raptors, and their great run come immediately to mind.............anyway back to you guys..

one the problems I have is that the parties seem to be spending more time cutting each other up rather than focusing on issues. I find it amusing that hudak is calling out wynne for lying yet his million jobs plan seems full of lies.

green party will likely get my vote.

Any opinions on why the terb poll projects stronger support for the PCs than some media polls like Forum.

TERB membership is not representative of the Electorate, considering the interest of most members here.
Apparently more conservative, perhaps fewer financial failures to skew the polls...

The demographics skew overwhelmingly male and somewhat older. That is a double push to the right. Given the nature of the place, and the broader demographics of the GTA, I suspect the religious right and the 'all sexwork is exploitative' left not being here pretty much cancel each other out.

I agree with the sentiment but your language is incorrect. Since Kathleen Wynne is the incumbent, it isn't correct to describe her as someone looking "to get" in power.
