Happens to be true dufus. Many Ford supporters do not see themselves as conservatives. They see themselves as populists and anti elite voters. The opposite of richy rich John Tory
Who also appose socialist/union commies.

Who in this TERBDOM would re~elect those stinking Fiberals again ??? :frusty:

Someone likes pissing away their tax dollars so Fiberals can BUY elections in ridings by cancelling gas plants. The cost is actually well over 1 BILLION DOLLARS when you consider that building new gas plants has not occurred yet. What the FUCK have the Fiberals done with all OUR tax dollars for the past 11 years ???
ONTARIO is NOW a have NOT province !!! YOU want the status quo ???

T
his province is being run into the ground by Fiberals !!! Fuck that !!!

Where's your conscience ???
You got that right!!!! 267.5 Billion in debt. The highest in the world when you look at province's/states/territories. Countless scandals and counting (Mars) and passing on those cost on to us. One way or another. 42% increase on hydro. I DON"T FUCKING GET IT!!!! These Liberal voters need a good bitch slap in the face. Wake up!!!! You can't blindly vote for a party and ignore everything they've done and continue to do. The debt crisis is real!! And it's likely going to get a lot worse. We've all seen what they've done and continue to do......And shit's gonna get real when interest rates go up. That's only a mater of time.

The pollsters have run these scenarios dufus.Remove Ford half his votes go to Chow. Do you not get that? This has already been tested.
Not exactly half-- but the splits aren't so bad for Chow that she loses at the moment. But yeah, you're more correct than the other guy. Personally I'm a lot more comfortable if Tory and Ford both stay in as it limits Tory's ability to win more than Chow's, even though Chow is currently leading in all combinations they've measured. I suspect that in this election Chow's hard ceiling will be in the 40s, but if she has a good first term she could easily get a couple more mandates with mid 50s numbers.

General agreement. Chow goes over 50% if just Chow Ford on offer.

TERB 52% Tory Reality 31%

LIBERAL TERB 39% Reality 37% not bad

NDP TERB 11% Reality 23%

Anybody who thinks TERB political opinion is anywhere near reality lol.

Terb members are not representative of the general population - not even close....

Thank goodness we women get to vote too....

(And yes I proudly voted Liberal...)

They don't have to be in order for wigglee' conclusion to be valid. This is because TERB members were not polled to gauge how the whole of Ontario was going to vote. In efect two populations were being compared - those of TERB and the rest of Ontario. Thus wigglee's conclusion is valid. The only reservation that may be entertained is whether the group of TERB members who participated in the poll is representative of the TERB population.

Statisticians on TERB, is my reasoning wrong?

Excellent post - Since I voted Liberal myself, I must say thank goodness women get to vote as well - Wynne will bring a new direction, just like a new CEO - things are looking up for Ontario!
That budget was tailor made for women. To vote against it would be hurting ourselves. I follow all politics closely - I did examine all the platforms and did subtract all of the inevitable rhetoric.

I believe in being proactive rather than reactive. I believe in investing now. I get ridiculously pissed off when I realize how much I will have to pay because the generation before me was so obsessed with taxes that they shifted problems my way.....

I get the gas plant crap - every other party was going to cancel them too - I get that the Liberals were far from perfect.

But the NDP forced an expensive an election because they were power hungry and they deserve their loss of power
and
the CONS would hurt me and every other "middle class" Ontarian.

My interest in politics started during the Harris years. My dad loved him. I listed to a lot of talk radio.... I was a 14 year old Conservative supporter.....

Then I learned how badly Conservative policy hurt our cities and beyond. I could never support a Tea Party agenda like Hudak tried to sell us.

Women keep stuff in balance - we are simply more empathetic. We value more than our tax rate. We are smart enough to get the fact that sometimes investing in something ends up paying more in interest.

My sister is a teacher who moved to London England because there were no jobs for her here.
One of my best friends works for CAS and her job was vulnerable under Hudak.
Another friend has an Autistic son who requires a special needs teacher.
As much as right wingers want to label us as "takers" or as supporting "takers".... I believe I support ideas that are proactive rather than reactive.
Another friend is a teacher who helped me understand that "average class size" includes remote schools when coming up with the averages.... When her school in Toronto has average class sizes of 36 students at Grades 4-6... I fucking care man.
I am thrilled the majority of Ontarians agree with me (even though a majority of Terb members don't....)

I don't even have kids yet but you better believe I (and most women) care about this stuff..... And thank gawd for it....

Investing in now creates a more stable future.

Very sensible.
I've been a long time NDP supporter (or commie by some on this board) but couldn't vote for Horwath for the same reasons.
I want politicians who will work together with whatever people are in power regardless for the good of those who elected them, not fight over turf or call an election 'cuz they think this is their big chance.

You will soon see how the Liberals play well with others.

The "Liberal" budget contemplates massive cuts in 2015-16. There will be class warfare over these.

The Tories have a serious gender gap exactly because they are testosterone driven like too many on here.

Will NOT be "class" warfare,...but will be government/general public warfare with the slime ball civil servant unions for sure.

Its also obvious that you are NOT testosterone driven,...like being told what to do by the Dipper and Fiberal leaders,...answers a lot of questions.

Two points
1. Your kids will be burdened by a massive debt load because of the election result
2. Investing in infrastructure is an investment for the future , unfortunately the majority of Wynn's budget will be on operating costs ie overpaying public sector unions

There is a cost for everything in life

Which point,...the one correcting you on the use of "class" to describe the coming war between the general public/government and civil servant unions.

Or the point that your lack of testosterone explains your style and content of your posts .
