So are you asserting that TERBites are rural, male, Anglo-Saxon, 60+ remnants?
Basically yes. Older. Maler. More uniform.

The only interesting thing there is the 'more uniform'. In rural areas that boils down to ethnic uniformity, and in suburban areas that boils down to class uniformity. You also see this in Quebec around Quebec City, and for example, in the North where it is rural but not uniform the NDP basically swept the place.

Very sensible.
I've been a long time NDP supporter (or commie by some on this board) but couldn't vote for Horwath for the same reasons.
I want politicians who will work together with whatever people are in power regardless for the good of those who elected them, not fight over turf or call an election 'cuz they think this is their big chance.
I was in a Liberal fortress so a NDP vote wouldn't hurt, so I voted NDP. I'm grumpy with the OnNDP under Horwath myself, so if the riding would have been in play I would have held my nose and voted Liberal (which is something I don't generally do).

You might want to check past poll surveys on TERB for profile; IIRC Male 40-60, well educated, and with lots of discretionary income (considering how much they say they on SP's and MPA's.)

Tories have the lowest education level of the big parties. Anybody surprised?

I didn't really make any comments on education or income. Being older and male generally translates into more income. Though income and education are two of the more commonly embellished things on the internet, along with penis size. What we know is that TERB is overwhelmingly male and a little older (and overwhelmingly doesn't mind the selling of sexual services).

Understood, but the past polls did.

Scroll diwn until you find education.

You truly are scrapping the bottom of any barrel to find anything that the NDP aren't third. From the same source, the Liberal support clearly comes from university educated Canadians, the smart ones.;)

from the same source;

The NDP vote was much more concentrated in non-voters from 2011, they were less likely to know where their polling station was located, they were considerably less certain to vote, and they were less likely to have voted in the advance polls. A few other notable findings: the NDP were performing more strongly with households with children at home and they were more likely to be union members. The link to the deep cuts to public sector workers may have caught the attention of these groups as the campaign matured.

The worst educated claim based on a three part bar graph is not conclusive, but you'll keep trying.

Where is your proof that Tories are not the worst educated.

You think the Tory vote is Rodedale? Lol

The Tory vote looks like Duck Dynasty.

Lots of it where cousins marry.

The proof is the over simplified graph and that fact that you read it as such.

Check tbe conservatives are stupid thread. The Tories cant even win the rich highly educated parts of urban Ontario.

Their vote is Ontarians who cant deal with change immigration gay rights and so on.

Have you met Randy Hillier? The true face of Ontario Tories OMFG.

They do not have one urban seat.

I am non-white and live in Randy Hillier's riding. Man, what an experience I had when casting my vote in this last election! Clearly the wizened whte fella manning the stand thought I did not belong there. After showing my ID, his colleague, a white woman, asked him to give me a ballot. The wizened fella looked at her questioningly as he slowly handed me a ballot. Afetr voting ( not for Hillier, of course) I made my way back to the booth only to find the slit for the drop-in box covered by a pamphlet. I asked politely where to put my ballot and you-know-who slowly removed the pamphlet covering the slit. I looked him squarely in the eye and then barked out "thank you". The antiquated fella would have called the police had I gone there dressed in a bomber jacket and a baseball cap turned backwards (lol). I say this because I went to vote in very presentable attire - nice dress pants and long-sleeved shirt along with fashionable leather shoes. Apparently all this counted for naught in his appraisal of me ; only the colour of my skin mattered to him. Hillier won the riding, by the way. Unsurprising because of the demographic that some have alluded to on this thread.

Dude, if this happened to you,...and I'm not doubting it did, you should have brought it to other peoples attention.

I'm white, but if ANYBODY was to pull this shit while I was in the room, I would have raised a huge ruckus, which I have been known to do similar racially motivated circumstances.

But I do realize you were probably in a "minority" environment.
