My theory is the yamaka prevents sun stroke. Then again maybe they are smarter although I fail to understand how religion increases intelligence - personality traits yes - intellect ?

As I non-Jewish part of this world I really don't care about one's intellect or penis size since those are physical attributes not choices.

Probably genetics. Like physical attributes, intelligence can also be measured but just not as obvious.

I don't think my experience is unique, but the smartest kids in my high school and university classes were Jews, Chinese and East Indians. This is also proven in SAT tests and the number of top graduates in high school and university.

it is cultural pressure.

those three cultures place a high importance on education. the parents are also likely to be better educated.

in other words nature has its place but nurture should not be discounted.

but when you look at extremely successful people yes they are smart but they also have other things going for them.

dont forget high school and university are skewed samples. and those results may not translate to the general public. in high school there are also many at risk asian and east indian kids. the idea they are all at the top of the class is just not true.

anyways.... not interested in discussing this tangent anymore. yes there are smart jews and chinese but there are many non genetic factors at play. Academic intelligence or that measured on tests dont always translate to success. take nobel prizes for example those people are leading edge outside the box thinkers a test cant help you find that person.

just like with any large population you will have your geniuses and idiots.
