From Wiki: '' Selleck's family moved to Sherman Oaks, California, in 1948.[10] He graduated from Grant High School in 1962 with future Monkees drummer Micky Dolenz [11] and enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College, living at home and saving money.[12] Selleck, who stands 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall, transferred to the University of Southern California during his junior year to play for the USC Trojans men's basketball team.[13] He also was a pitcher and designated hitter for the USC baseball team. 'I never knew Tom Selleck had a major league at bat. I just looked him up. I also never knew he played college ball. I'm naturally interested in him a little bit because I love that movie An Innocent Man (best prison scenes of all time in my opinion next to Shawshank Redemption) and I vaguely remember him participating in some celebrity Home Run Derby during the 1993 All-Star game in Baltimore where he hit a home run… But I never knew he actually was a pinch hitter against the Reds. That could've been Rob Dibble pitching as they mentioned in your clip, who I consider to be one of the most dangerous relievers of all time. His 101 mph in 1990 would've been over 107 mph today. His back catcher shaking his glove hand in agony. These are visual scenes that I will never forget. 101 mph doesn't do that to catchers anymore because the damn guns are juiced now lol. I'm surprised Dibble doesn't get mentioned more in those hardest thrower documentaries because he threw some serious gas. Nasty nasty nasty stuff. Nasty boys for sure.
Is everyone excited for the Mariners series? Great Thanksgiving this will be. I have to honestly say I am so unbelievably impressed with the emergence of Trey Yesavage. It's probably the best of Blue Jays stories I've ever seen. He started this season in A ball and has been strategically brought up through the system to be a secret weapon right now in the postseason. The guy is 22 years old and he is untouchable. I have a big feeling Yesavage is going to be a superstar big time. I'm very impressed with the way the organization handled him, brought him up the way they did, and planned what purpose he would have at this time of year. When you stop and think about what's going on with this kid… It's truly remarkable. One of the best baseball stories I've ever seen in my life. He's not getting a taste of big league baseball, he's pitching in humongous games for a first place team in the postseason. I put this story right up there with Jim Abbott. Obviously Jim Abbott would be number one…but Yesavage would be on this list in my mind. Truly unbelievable what's going on with this whole situation.

If you like prison flicks try ''Shot Caller'' with Nikolaj William Coster-Waldau ...It's great.
Oh and never let Mike Wilner hear you say ''back catcher''...He'll say there is no position called that, lol
He used to say that all the time on the Fan590.
