Great Dribbling by Kvara and goal, no wonder they call him Kvaradona. Napoli are 18 points ahead of Inter the second team. I hope they win the champions too. May the 3rd is their lock in game for the scudetto.

Lazio beat Napoli,, they are in second place, the weekend before the Partenopei traveled to Frankfurt. Toloi kept Kvaratskhelia (wow I did it) under his thumb for an hour, then ended up doing the splits. As for Frankfurt, I hope they enjoy the pizza and the sfogliatelle.

Haaland wishes.

Interesting factoid: Bayern defeated FC Augsburg 5-3 today. Only one of the goals was scored by a forward - Leroy Sane. Even our man Davies chipped in with a goal.

Bayern are a complete team, something Napoli is attempting to emulate.

The other Cristiano, Napoli Transfer Director Cristiano Giuntoli at TEDx Talks. He was on the pitch celebrating with his players.

Hojlund did not do as well as expected for Atalanta. He is a hot commodity right now.

Scalvini kept Osimhen from scoring, his valuation surpasses Hojlund.

Some damn fool at Circle K thought it would be a good idea to feature a life sized cardboard image of Lionel Messi to promote an energy drink. You walk through the door and it's the first apparition you see, the locals have been taking shots at it. I jokingly suggested that it should be set on fire. I made a stop on my way home, the cardboard atrocity has been turned on it's side. People wont see it entering the store and get miffed. It's appropriate that he won the blood soaked World Cup, still no tally on the African kill count.

Messi as nothing to do with any of that. He's just technically the most gifted player ever. And humble about it all. No ego, great wife and kids.

cheers,

Lo Speciale can't be happy, they face Barcelona on Thursday.

Davide Berardi, most under-rated player in Serie A.

Athletic Club 0-1 Barcelona. 18 year old Barcelona starlet Gavi made history by attempting 2 diving head tackles in one game. In the first one he face planted into the grass, and on the second attempt he got a knee in the head for his efforts. Spain’s youngest World Cup goal scorer is becoming known for this kind of tackle, and Xavi may want to have a word with him to cut it out before he gets seriously injured.

Bilbao fans reacted to news about Barcelona paying off a referee from 2001 to 2018 by spreading fake notes with Mafia $ inscription and chanted "relegation to second division" throughout the match. Ouch

Barcelona's registration of Gavi's new contract has apparently been invalidated because their appeal was filed late.
They have been told to cut 200 million Euros from 2023-2024 budget to sign new players.
So I suspect they filed late on purpose because of precarious financial situation.
Is Barcelona in a death spiral? We shall see but not looking good.

Goldman Sachs extended a loan to Barcelona worth $960 million, have they frittered that money away already. They are making sponsorship deals to secure more money, Spotify is on board for $315 million.

I seriously doubt this will happen, Barcelona are UEFA's flagship club.

The Emir of Qatar enjoys having people tortured. He and Andrea Agnelli are good friends, I wonder if this was the reason why he got purged from Exor (Juventus).

Will his cousin own Manchester United?

Barcelona sold a stake in Barca Studios and future television rights. Then they turned around and gave Robert Lewandowski ridiculous 400,000 Euros a week, Raphina and Jules Kounde at 200,000 Euros a week, etc.
Now they have to trim their wage bill by 200 million Euros to be able to play in 2023 but cannot rely anymore on financial gymnastics. Plus the referee "bribery" issue is hanging over them like the Sword of Damocles.

And for the record, Barcelona is absolutely not flagship club of UEFA. If any team qualifies for that title, it is Real Madrid who have won previous and current versions of UEFA Championship 14 times!

$430,000 a week, that how much Rafael Leao is asking for, he wont get that from Ac Milan. Like Frank Kessie and Gigli Donnarumma, he'll find out that the grass isn't greener on the other side. He disappears from matches too much to be worth that kind of scratch. He'll enjoy life in Manchester.

As for paying off refs and breaking FFP rules nothing will happen to Barcelona and Manchester City, other leagues don't wash their filthy mutantuozz in public like Serie A.

The Erling Haaland show.

Holy shit mind you Leipzig is not the top , but they're not the shits either. City won 7-0 and 5 of the goals were Haalands. He's everywhere, always at the right spot at the right time. He broke City's record.
