why couldn't they keep there team intact?
as it stands, most Sens players are playing at their max worth and they have a decent #1 goalie waiting in line for the job...
in fact the salary cap system is more favourable for a team like the Sens, which aren't as rich as the Leafs per se. remember how close the Sens were to bankruptcy before the lockout... that won't happen to them now... and they have a good crop of players in the system.
let's also not forget how fantastic they are at picking up good talent through trades also...
