I am discussing what is fueling the protests. Imo it isn't just this one issue. It is a growing discontent. And these things can evolve.

We are at what, 5 days now? Curfews? Marines? Mass arrests? And they appear to be spreading.
There are 10k "protesters" (i.e. looters, rioters, anti-American leftists) in LA. A tiny number of losers that need to be set straight.

Law enforcement is stomping them out, and rightfully so. Americans don't have the appetite for their bad behaviour.

Let them spread.
The more violent protestors become, the more they're reaffirming Trump's case they need to be deported

You're taking the discussion to more and more avenues.

If you think that things are so bad in the U.S. and all these grievance groups will band together to fuel general unrest, that's your opinion.
I'm not sure if band together is the correct term. I think when grievances against the govt continue to grow so will unrest. This summer we shall see. But next summer could be a rough one.

How dare you deport our indentured servants!
That, along with the end of numerous white collar jobs due to AI, will force college grads into some of those jobs.

Have a financial indentured class will work too I suppose.

I think this works in Trump's favour.

Americans losing their jobs or having a hard time paying bills are not going to side with illegals.

The last thing a citizen wants to do is compete for work against illegals when times get tough.

In Canada we have mass legal immigration and nobody wants it, other than the government.

The more they spread, the thinner LE is spread out. The more chances for hotheads to light things up.
Trump's biggest obstacle is political. When you have governors like Newsom who want to defy immigration laws, it creates an environment where rioters think they can run amok without consequences.

In an alternate universe where immigration laws were respected (the way they are in most countries in the world other than the USA), all governors and mayors would be supporting Trump's effort and local law enforcement would be squashing rioters left and right.

I responded to quip about J6 protesters' masks. Are you trying a find a pathway to other arguments?

In any event, if ICE isn't deporting as many as under Biden in the first five months I am confused as to why the left is losing their shit over deportations. This suggestion will likely go to no avail, but trying thinking through what you are reading. Understand the author's bias and whether their logic holds beyond meaningless rhetoric and is it worth repeating.
It's possible to deport illegals without creating chaos and without the whole world now avoiding the US. Obama did it. Biden did it. But Trump likes chaos. Dictators dictate by terror, fear, and chaos.

Besides that... beside being greedy, extremely ugly, uncultured, and fat, Trump's all right.

Because they want to work as under the table dishwashers, landscapers, sewers, cleaning hotel rooms and offices?

Trump's biggest obstacles are his rhetoric, heavy handed approach, scattershot policy making, TACO reputation, and lack of compassion.

It's not just the concept of "sanctuary" cities and states. It's offering illegal immigrants aid and assistance. California is one the most generous jurisdictions towards migrants illegal or legal if not the most. It certainly sends mixed messages to migrants. Obviously, the U.S. Federal government sets immigration policy and determines who can enter and stay.

Democrats (1863): "you can't do this! who's going to pick our cotton?"
Democrats (2025): "you can't do this! who's going to mow our lawns?"

I would add thereto: his lower than average IQ, senility, mental deterioration and massive corruption.

And the fact he chooses his staff from ass licking shit-slurpers rather than qualified people.
